Say you have a destination that's a good six inches by map away from the nearest explored area? Wolf the hell out, maul anything you find en route. Breaks up the monotony of overland travel when you A: Just wanna go there quickly, and B: Mess up some deer and goats on the way. You feel somewhat squishy in wolf form though, I didn't explore a lot of the mechanical nuances of staying alive in wolf form. What should've amounted to an orc berserk racial style emergency cooldown basically became a cool minigame to make you run really fast and kill critters. In meaningful combat I have difficulty recommending it, as you lose your ability to use weapons, armor, most magic, and powers (you get a choice between three specific powers to use in wolf form, that can only be changed once a day and only in the alcove beneath Skyforge.). That said, if you can use Berserk and then go into Beast Form with Berserk active, you could actually have a decent time of things in a real combat situation. the roar that makes everything run in fear is fucking OP, it lasts so long and it's aoe.. Yeah I didn't use that very much, went with the dual wolf spirit pet one while I had it. Eventually cured that shit though.

Most of my video lag issues seem to only happen in 1st person only, as soon as I swap into 3rd person view (any zoom level) things are magically running smooth again :\

Forward and standing power attacks are worth getting. Backwards power attack imo is not worth the point as your short 1 handed weapons might have trouble hitting the target. By the time you get 100/100 one-handed you should be a meat grinder while dual wielding, and if you went for sword and board, shield charge perma disables most enemies already...

Just a perk or two into restoration whenever you have the points for it. Respite is pretty good if you do not want to be too abusive with certain mechanics (as power attacks can be conducted with only 1 stamina). Do not put anything in magicka.
If you want to use more magic, conjuration is always a nice school to go into. Illusion is VERY powerful as well but it may eat into the "feel" of a "fighter" (as you can make everything non-hostile and proceed to kill one at a time).

werewolf form has a lot of CC, not only the OP roar, but also all special attacks. It also has high chances to proc instant death animation.
When my melee char has to fight some annoying mage that 2 shots me in 1 second, werewolfform locks the mage into kockeddown state until he dies violently.

Ah, thanks Hikari. Always good to know what perks to cut. Having not played a character that requires stamina before, I'm confused as to whether or not respite is necessary either. It seems to have its benefit at lower levels, but I'm guessing that power attacks are not as heavy on stamina as you level?
And does anyone know the difference in duration for Alteration Dual Casting and Stability perk? Dragonhide still sounds like an awesome skill that I'm trying to base my Paladin build around.

Someone else having problems with dragons since the patch? I just had a dragon that went into warp speed as soon as i came near him and flew away. I think he even used his flamebreath as afterburner.... I find it nice that the devs try to simulate evolution, but its a bit frustrating xD

I'm trying Vampire right now on my rogue character. It's pretty fun to manage the phases ( you have to be carefull with fast travel ), and getting a bite on someone can be tricky if you don't do it before phase 4. My character is a Dark elf so the weakness to fire don't really bother me ( +50% resist fire -75% resist fire at phase 3.. still not dramatic ).
But for now, the advantage seems pretty useless, fun but useless. You have a weak necromacy spell, vision in the dark, a calm spell. When in phase 4 you get a really cool 180s invisibility, but you'll mainly use that to bite someone without being seen because everyone want to kill you at this stage.

If you're able to run the 2k2k, it's *currently* compatible with this
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=607
Which is the non-landscape version of essentially the same thing, by a different author though.
1.2 is soon to be released by the mod I linked and it will have ground/landscape textures as well, so I dont knwo about then. Beware though, running 2k/2k will chew resources up like a mofo.

I use it with a lot of other mods ( improve water, improve vegetation, improve character details ) and damn, the game look gorgeous.

i use that mod, the 2k from the ground texture hurts performance quite a bit, but this mod doesnt. guessing its cause ground texture is just used a lot more and i get the stuttering when i am loading textures outside when moving into a new area

+ Show Spoiler +just completed the main quest and I didn't even realize it kind off, I mean, really?

Yeah ground texture goes on a ton more. To be fair the Skyrim HD hasn't updated a lot, he's making the textures himself and it's restricted to mostly the beginning areas. Like Whiterun buildings and such.
Eitehr way, both great mods to have if your rig can handle it. There's no reason not to 4x the graphic quality!
Now if only someone has made an HD weapons and armor... I saw the guy who made Iron weapons but he's taking so long to make/update them!
Plus people modify the armor slightly, I like the look of the vanilla armor, just needs to be HD!

Anyone know about some good gardens or something for herbs to make potions? Oblivion had lots of gardens.

No idea how I didn't see this. It's only 1k/1k but it does indeed look a bit better. It'll hold me over until someone does a 2k/2k for all the armor!
Appreciate it! :D

Ok this might be a silly question... but whatever. I got PS3 and I stated playing as thief into lvl10 or smth and than wanted to start another character (mage) without deleting my thief guy. But somehow the game overwrited my thief save file and ALL the auto save files. So Im right now in the same situation I want to play fighter badly without deleting mage file, so by making like three new save files as mage will protect at least one of these files from overwriting at the start of a new game? Or should I just turn off the auto-save mechanism? I will do both i guess..
And another question, what exactly will effect increased difficulty? Only combat part? I mean more powerfull enemies = more time using skills = 2 level ups per cave? Same as Oblivion?

I am not excatly certain how it works on the PS3 but on PC it's like this.
up to 3 autosaves get saved, every new autosave will overwrite the oldest one. only 1 quicksave, each new quicksave overwrites the old one unlimited manual saves through the menu, but you can overwrite old savegames manually.
