Power gamers gonna power game. Yah too bad the enemies are leveled haha, so as you get stronger so do your enemies. In fact, if you abuse the Riften speech to 100 trick at the beginning of the game you'd get to a fairly decent level ~8, where all your other skills would still be at their starting values and now your enemies are strongers -_-
lucky for me i found out about that after i had a full daedric set

Rolled Illusion/Conjuration, supporting with Archery (Bound Bow) and Sneak. So far, been super fun frenzy bombing groups from the shadows, dropping an atronach on the other side of the room and then popping off sneak attacks while enjoying the chaos.
Also: + Show Spoiler [large image] + Nice touch that NPCs will pick up stuff you leave on the ground.

Whats the point of Glass armor? What's the appeal? Do I want that magic armor thing perk too?

And yeah, cause you wanna be able to work enchanted armor.

Ugh, I gotta do enchanting too ):

the "able to improve magic armor/weapons" perk?
it's useful for when you either find a weapon already enchanted or you forget to upgrade it before you enchant it...
example? I made a daedric bow, enchanted it, THEN wanted to improve it, but had to get the perk first

dont go dremora lords :S my conjuration one handed (bound swords) melee char is now only watching them play skyrim

If you enchant an improved item and don't have the perk you'll lose the improvement anyways.

Not so much fun on the hardest difficulty where tougher enemies takes 20 shots to kill. It's not hard, but it's very tedious. I play the hardest difficulty and it is definitely less tedious then my warrior at least so far. I had a small rant somewhere in this thread about warrior type on hardest. It's pretty hard to level up armor and block because you can't take many hits so you end up dodging around in fights. Then most of your perks go into damage which furthers your damage dealing role. There is probably a better way to play a warrior tank but playing free form led me down that path and it's not particularly fun.
You want to level up block on master difficulty? make some vegetable soup and then shield bash nonstop for 12 minutes. Shield bash defecates all over just about everything 1v1.
I just raped a giant with nothing but (deadly) shield bashes.

Any way to get a compass or direction for misc. quests? some of these things are impossible to find.

if you hover over it (like, select it but don't start tracking.. you can but it's no different), hit the M key and the map will show you which location to go to

Neat I didn't know that. The best suggestion I have is to get close to the quest marker and press L for a local map. And use clairvoyance, that's helped me out once or twice

And use clairvoyance, that's helped me out once or twice Once you've either gotten used to having all quests active at once, or using the "show on map" function with a good memory, Clairvoyance suddenly becomes sort of useless. The only part where it might be useful is in rooms built mostly vertically, since the minimap won't show altitude, and therefore you can't see how high up the target is on your minimap. However, even so, if you have the quest active and just look around a bit when you're close enough, you can still see the quest marker through walls etc, regardless if it's something in the current zone or if you need to go through a door. When I first saw Clairvoyance in a trailer for the game, I thought that it would be an extremely useful spell, but really; the game already has all the practical necessities by default, so the spell becomes sort of pointless.

To expand on that, if you go to your Misc. Quest in your Journal, hit D/Right on it you can track specific quests in that list as well. It won't track the quest if Misc. Quest itself isn't being tracked as well.

That's exactly what I use it for HaXXspetten. Those moments when you're in a ruin or inside something and you just can't figure out.. where.. the hell.. you are.

I love the exploration, the graphics (except those stupid 2d foliage textures), and the quest lines. But I have one complaint:
I can make a potion worth 1200 septims from 50 septims. Crafting is super tedious, and only alchemy is worth leveling (which is by far the most tedious trade skill). Lockpicking, Pickpocket, Speechcraft and Smithing are definitely not worth putting skill points into. When you realize these skills might as well not exist, you see the skill selection for your character is actually rather hollow and straightforward. Enchanting is so expensive/tedious to level, I don't even bother with it, and Alchemy breaks the game so I only have it on my Thief character for poisons. Eventually on master, the highest diff, you will 1-2 shot things that aren't bosses (my thief also 1 shots bosses with backstab haha).
I still love this game, even if this post is very negative. It's just that Bethesda is infamous for developing combat systems that fundamentally break down as the game progresses, and that is a huge turn off for me. They removed character stats from the game in order to resolve this problem, but that did absolutely nothing to fix it.
That's my only problem with Skyrim. And just like the previous Morrowind and Oblivion, sadly we have to rely on community mods instead of Bethesda to fix the gameplay problems.
