I have dragon smithing but the perk for daedric smithing is grey (not blue for available). Sounds like this is a problem..... FOR MODS! Seriously, this game wastes too many points on perks I don't want and wish I could skip.
You don't need mods for that
Google the code for daedric smithing (will look like 25009867)
open console
type "player.addperk ########"

Or should I hold off until I'm stupid rich? I only have the whiterun one atm, cause I spent my first 5k. I'm sitting on like 10k but I really wanna use it to buy more iron ingots and max smithing. The only reason to buy extra houses is to sink otherwise worthless money. It obviously has no practical purpose. Some of the other ones have some cool features though. Namely nice ways to display weapons/armor. I have 4 with all decor and still have over 120k. It gets to a point where there is nothing to do with your money. Edit: Unless someone else has found something cool to do with lots of money? Plz tell if so. Doesn't have to be practical, obviously at this point I am just doing stuff for the cool factor. Do different ones have other stuff instead of, say, alchemy lab at whiterun? I need to play more dammit T_T. But I didnt start till saturday have you maxed out unused stats via learning?
Ya the other houses all have more stuff and are bigger and nicer (matter of taste I guess, but they are supposed to be) than Whiterun one. (its cheapest for a reason) It is nice to have an enchanting table in house. I really like weapon display cases/plaques and armor mannekins. Much cooler than having everything stuffed in a dresser in Breezehome. Lydia best housecarl though for sure!
Of course I buy 5 skillups per level but thats like a drop in the bucket at 50+ (both as far as leveling and money goes) Its ok, just gotta finish all the Daedric Quests and then I really need to play some SC2 so I don't drop out of Masters when I finally ladder again. Haven't played for 2 weeks tt and it will be at least another week before I can. At parents for Thanksgiving and REALLY regretting the last minute call to not bring my 360 and Skyrim. (was going to, and this sort of thing is precisely why I bought it for console. ugh) So dumb and now I am so bored. WTF do I do at 3am at my parents house? Curse my sleep schedule that comes from living by myself.

Guys can i ask some questions about enchanting?
what are some of the good enchantments to put on weapons/armor, for a 2handed Warrior with Heavy Armor.
I've read about what +32% damage all the way to 3199 damage. I totally failed to comprehend what was going on Help please haha. I also do not understand why quaffing potions(which kind) will have an effect on enchanting.

Fortify two-hand on all possible parts the game will translate into damage, otherwise I'd just take fortify heavy armor, health, etc. Fortifying enchanting, smithing and alchemy in as many ways as possible with potions and crafting gear and crafting everything in the correct order can lead to super imbalanced gear. It's a bit complicated to explain though.

Hi, I'm playing 2-H, heavy armor resto specc. It's a relative straight forward spec (obviously), with one twist that I always use whirlwind sprint - shout to get out of combat and heal me back up.
But my problem is... Dragons. They never **** land, so I have to spam 100 arrows before it dies because I'm not specced that deep into archery (playing on mastery, don't wanna be to much spread out on the perks). Can I perk archery, 2-H, resto and heavy armor? Or is there another way to solve my dragon problem <- dragon

There are +enchanting effectiveness potions that stack with your perks etc and you need to get the tip top most max enchant. Don't worry too much about min-maxing until you have 100 enchanting and can put dual enchants on your final endgame set of gear whatever you choose. Most people I think would recommend for a Warrior type + 2HWeapon wherever you can obviously, and +Magic Resist wherever you can. (Dual Enchanting where applicable) The other slots are I think more or less personal preference imo. Get stamina or hp or whatever you want.
If you are getting serious about it, you first make a whole set of gear and max enchant it with +smithing on every piece. Then you drink +Smithing Potion and use this to upgrade your weapons/armor of your final set.
Warning though, I have not read any other theorycrafting threads/guides on min/maxing. These are just my own thoughts from ~120 hrs of playtime. So I might be missing something.
TLDR: +Weapon Damage and +Magic Resist best 2 enchants for you I think.

Slight main quest spoiler + Show Spoiler +Play through the main quest and ~3/4 of the way through you will get a shout that makes dragons come to ground, obviously helpful for your problem. You can play this far to get it and go back to other stuff if you want and leave the rest for later.
Also, perking 4 trees is very easily doable. However you are gimping yourself massively by not going either smithing/enchanting at all so....... your call.

Lol, I have only killed like 2 dragons so far. I just came to riften and did some failed pickpocket mission. How far is that? There isn't another way for melee perked characters?
Edit 1: And by not going smithing and enchanting was because I've read so much about it beeing way to OP atm :S I use alchemy though!
Edit 2: Is there any website that alows you to perk and show how you perked to other players?

Just had the most epic moment in Skyrim, a lot of bandits ambushed me after I was done reading a book I found. I was outnumbered then suddenly I hear a mighty roar and a dragon comes down and aggros all of them, slaying them all and saving me. Only to be killed afterwards, but felt really damn epic ^^

Well prior to getting that shout ya you pretty much just need to have you or someone in an open relatively level area and the dragon will land you hit it some, maybe it flies up again etc etc. On master difficulty it does make the fights take kind of a long time but they look really epic imo with the dragon airborn so much. If you want the shout stay on the graybeards questline for a while.
I also find it humorous that as a 2-H Heavy Armor player the first major chain you start is the Thieves guild. Whatever floats your boat I guess!
Smithing and Enchanting are as OP as you make them and that is really an endgame thing. (OP as hell if you min/max endgame tho ) I think having Smithing while leveling is a nice way to upgrade through your play and have nice matching sets of armor/weapon. Getting matched gear pretty impossible elsewise and you will have quite bad gear I think. If you never ever go 3rd person thats ok then though appearance wise but you are going to have a lot of difficult fights.
If you put a reasonable restriction on it; like I mined all the ore and gathered the other mats for all gear sets I was going to wear myself, but not for leveling smithing. This spaced it out pretty well so I didn't get all awesome gear instantly and led to lots of exploring looking for mines which I thought was awesome.
But that is the beauty of open singleplayer rpg. You play them however you want with whatever restrictions you want.
I am sure there are at least websites where you can mess with the perk trees and see what all you can get at a certain level but I haven't used any. Its not hard to do ingame.

just downloaded a shit ton of graphic mods, will see later if they work ^^ (better snow, better dragon textures, much other stuff like more realistic looking characters)

Am I the only one not bothered by matching / epic armours and stuff? I put more value on how I acquired it, personally. My main items atm are an ebony bow +17 fire damage, flawless elven sword, flawless gilded elven armour. With an assortment of the nightingale and DB items for when I need them. And this crazy mask with +20 archery, lockpick and something else.
Anyway, it looks retarded but is weirdly sentimental.

Something you enchant yourself is the only way really.

But you can also download a mod to disable the showing of helmets. (PC)

I have a question :D
I've heard that once you can go up the light armour you cant get to daedric (even though it's connected). So I was wondering, if you go with the heavy armour path and end up at dragon smithing would that mean you can also make the light armour version without the additional light armour perks?
|
Finally my computer is upgraded and running properly! I have been waiting patiently to play this thing (had exams too so I couldn't play before I started dismantling my PC either).
Just got to Riverrun and pretty much going to ignore the entire storyline, become an awesome blacksmith first :D. Looks beautiful.

like someone's already said here recently, you can add the perk through console. i don't personally have any experience with what you're asking, but i don't think there's any problem with adding something that you would have gotten normally.

Not sure If i'm understanding correctly, but yea if you end up getting the dragon smithing perk, you can make both Light dragon armor (Dragon scale based) and heavy dragon armor (Dragon bone based).

yes
Going up the heavy armor side is the best choice even if you do use light armor.
