It makes sense for unarmed combat to be supported in the game since there is a perk in the heavy armor skill tree that makes unarmed attacks deal the armor rating of your gauntlets in extra damage. Really hoping that there's some truth to this thing about the two handed giving benefits.
Just attack with unarmed and see what skill levels as a result
That's the thing though, no skill levels up when you fight with your fists. It might just be a lie that skill in two handed weapons will benefit hand to hand combat but that's the only thing I've found besides the heavy armor perk so I guess I'll try that or just wait until a mod for unarmed comes out.
I had to kill guards in the one mission where you get smuggled into a party, cause i didnt take any equipment with me. On top of that: i didnt skill anything but 2hand weapons, heavy armor and healing magiks TT beating up guards with your bare hands ftw x) Well in the end i just took the armor of a dead guard, but at least i killed one with my hands :D btw: FUS RO DAH!

Yea unarmed would be nice to have as a skill, imagine fighting snow bear with your fists! Also horse riding, jumping, swimming and sprinting should be a skill also. I liked that we had jumping in Oblivion, would be nice to see them in a mod.

I'm all for unarmed, but the rest you mentined would totally break the game with current leveling system. I sprint I lvl? WTF man.
Dinged lvl 30 char, got 100 blacksmithing and 100 ench, so i got my full dragonplate set (getting daedric later) and enchanted its chest and head with -25% destruction mana cost, and also a necklace and ring.
My destruction spells are now free, and ive got a full set of dragon plate armor for tanking stuff.
Also you can use 2 enchants per item at max enchanting, i only have 1 used so far, not even sure where to begin on the other enchants... immune to magic, perhaps?
I was bored last night so i spawned 5 elder dragons and see how hard it would be. It took me few tries to kill them Here is the footage if you are interested Epic battle

Torrent it now and buy it later? It's not stealing if you're going to buy the damn game, contrary to this thread's general opinions -_-.
Apparently, my sprinting just broke. I have no idea why. It happened when i finished the Gauldur Amulet Questline. Now, i can only sprint while in third person. When i press my alt Key, i just hop forward a bit, using a small amount of Stamina. I can mash this button and use up my stamina, and get forward a bit each time, but i can not just keep it pressed to sprint. Anyone know what to do to fix this? Unequipping the Amulett did not work.

If I knew this beforehand I wouldn't of put points into Recovery for that 50% regen buff -_-
This is so dumb lol, 5 mana thunderbolts hahaha
Dude my chain lightning is free, i can kill 2 giants in under 5 seconds without my mana bar even showing up, dual cast also staggers them and acts as a perma-stun, im uploading a youtube video to show, completely broken haha no way anything will be any challenge with this, i think mage isnt the best setup for running masters anyway so im gonna make a dual wield char after rushing the "campaign" now and play through every premade questline in the game on masters with it (melee has better scaling, spells dont actuly get damage increases, just less mana cost etc)

Im still so pissed that I dont find any good 2H Weapons... Especially after I completed the Quest for Dawnbreaker I was like it gotta be a 2H buut waaaah !! -.-
If you're not leveling smithing, you could do the Red Eagle Sword questline. Finishing the quest will get you two magic swords, one one-handed, one two-handed. You can start the quest by finding the book that bears that talks about it in Dragonsreach (second room to the right in the main foyer).
I used the Axe from companion quests for pretty long but as a melee character you should really max smithing asap for awesome weapons. I two-shot normal dragons with my multiple damage modifier enchants and upgraded Daedric Greatsword now.
Smithing really isn't that tedious to level, just buy all the Iron Ingots and Leather Straps everytime vendors reset and make a ton of Iron Daggers.
