On a different note: this game will last me a long time. I'm twenty hours in, barely uncovered a fourth of the map and spent most of my time hunting or just walking around taking in the scenery. I've only taken down three dragons so far: the first one of the main quest, one I found after I found a note in a burnt-down house and one which randomly appeared.
I'm playing this game on Xbox360 but damn, this game is beautiful! The forests actually feel like real forests now, not a copy-paste selection of trees like in Oblivion.

Good points all, but are you saying #4 because you think Skyrim is better? I ask because I havent played either yet, but from what I've seen so far (and my experience with Oblivion) Dark Souls has a much better and well thought out system for combat (and dragons actually scare the crap out of me in Dark Souls lol). Traps are also something to account for, and not tickle traps like TES games :D. Skyrim is definately pretty though.

How the hell do I get <LR> to appear on my two flawless elven swords? If I click the entry for the swords I get <L> or <R> and the weapons seperate. I can't get them together. Two daggers I tested on worked fine, they didn't seperate and pressing L and R made <LR> appear....

There are more deadra lords that dont make you kill shit. But they are all indifferent about what happens to " humans"

Yep, I agree. The combat is just dull and a lot of the quests are boring. I still think it's an amazing game but I'm afraid it won't keep me entertained for as long as I first thought. Running around and doing things for NPC's with stupid AI in a buggy singleplayer game with a bad UI....
With that being said, it's still a beautiful game with a lot to do and a lot to explore and I can see why people like it so much. I've never really liked RPG's though and unfortunately Skyrim hasn't changed my mind.

The design goal of Dark Souls was completely different though, they're meant to generate different experiences during gameplay.
While I'm one of Bethesda's biggest critics when it comes to design of game rules and mechanics (and let's be honest, they did a bad job literally every - single - time), I enjoyed all their games immensely because these aren't really the things that obstruct the gameplay or break immersion all that much. And even when they do, there's plenty of amazing content to quickly make up for it.
With gameplay-altering mods usually coming within a few months of release, TES games' problems tend to fade away and get less and less attention over time, as the games get better and better and gain a cult following that carries over to the sequel etc.
While I would still prefer if Bethesda paid more attention to their core design rather than bypass the deficiencies every time, they always manage to bypass it rather successfully.

is there a way to use the hotkeys for left or right hand specifically? seems kinda useless when they always appear in the same hand after pressing one of the button?

deadra arent evil, they just are used to another set of rules because they come from an alien world. They are only interested in the players world because nothing really changes in their own world since nothing can be destroyed forever. So they are kind of sitting there for an eternety with nothing to do except a few chances to infuence the players world.
(Boos in TES games are so awesome, i always feel like a real wizard researching in his tower lol)

Dude.. wtf elder dragons on Master are so freaking hard man. I'm playing an assassin type character, and the SECOND I go near the dragon it just rips my head off and I die in 1 shot. Even if I'm at full hp(300), it's ridiculous

Not sure, but I think that when u put one on 2 and the other on 3 you should get them together.
