Don't get me wrong, it's obviously a good game but it just seems pretty dull. The more I play it the more I feel that the world just seems empty. There doesn't seem to be any travelling merchants going along the roads that have escorts. This means that while I'm adventuring in the wild and make it back to a road that there is no little surprise, no one I can talk to, to either exchange loot or even hold up. Same thing with bandits, why aren't there any bandits hiding alongside roadsides ready to ambush caravans/NPCs? Or fellow adventurers going to and from towns that you can have a little chat with? I don't really care for the random x x prisoner x groups that roam around and I think adding NPCs that actually are out in the world would add so much life to the game. If you played Oblivion then you may remember these things were added in mods and they were pretty cool. Adventuring is a bit dull. I've come across quite a few places that have cages in them and there are never any prisoners. How hard would it be to add someone that says thanks for releasing me and then you either let them free or shake 'em up. Or that they start a quest line to retrieve something they own from the boss of the location or to head back to where ever they came from and receive a reward, or even escort them back to civilisation? It's also a bit dull because there doesn't seem to be a big enemy list. I'm getting a bit bored clobbering bandits, necromancers and vampires at most of the locations I go to. Or those dead nords. And Spriggans are annoying. There doesn't seem to be many choices in quests either. Sure you can probably remember a few but it would be nice to get to the end of a bandit cave and be able to talk to their leader who is impressed with your killings of his companions and tries to make a deal or you get to join him for some loot and go heist up wandering caravans or kill soldiers nearby. There just doesn't seem to be many choices when you get to enemy leaders, it's simply enter x and murder everything. Dragons seem a bit of a let down. They can be very few and far between and they aren't exactly hard fights. Their animations in the sky look a bit awkward and when they get to the ground, what to they do? They either melt your face or peck you. It's a freakin' dragon man. Where's the tail swipe or shielding with wings or locking with the jaws and tossing. There are other enemies that are harder than dragons and it's a bit of a letdown when these fights should be EPIC but they just aren't. Loot seems a bit of a letdown too. I suppose it's a good amount that drops but not many of it seems helpful to me apart from disenchanting. Smithing is pretty much better than anything you'll find and add that to enchanting and there is 0 chance you'll need anything. It feels like Oblivion completely remade yet without many world improvements. Sometimes it feels empty like an MMO where anywhere that isn't a town or village just seems emptyObviously I'm going to keep playing but after I complete it with this character I'm going to wait for some tasty, tasty mods I don't want to be a dick but it sounds like you should play WoW. It has everything you described except choices at the end of questlines. Travelling NPCs: Check! Other adventurers: Check! Prisoners in cages: Check! Retrieve key to said cage quest: Check! Escort said prisoners: Check! Huge enemy list: Check! Dragons with plenty of skills: Check! (WATCH THE TAIL!) Crafting that is not overpowered: Check! Dropped loot exponential power growth: Check! I can't wait for Skyrim to be patched so I can go pick it up and play it.

I've found that it also makes for a nice distraction for the locals, the poor things will keep running after it ad infinitum if you keep going ![]() Maybe I should make a vid out of it, slap on the benny hill theme and see how it goes ![]()

Indeed, wolves are pretty easy to deal with after a few levels. However, there is a level-scaling system where discovering a dungeon at a low-level will permanently scale it with low-level enemies while at a higher level, the dungeon is filled with a higher concentration of high-level enemies in addition to some low-level ones. As a result, you get into these situations where you are dominating low-level Bandits when you are at a higher level, but you also have to deal with their higher-level Bandit Outlaw comrades as well.

I'm itching but I'd rather wait for a great experience.

It has a lot of content but a lot of it just seems the same...

If you take screenshots with Steam, and look at the game in your library, the screenshots appear behind the text. I was staring at it for a solid two minutes thinking that the guy in the picture looked familiar before remembering.

I finished the mainquest at level 24. Kinda by accident. After hours of adventuring and finishing the Thieves Guild and Broohterhood quests i thought "hmmm i should progress with the graybeard quests a bit now". Then 2 hours later whooppps - you killed the end boss dragon....I didnt even had to use any special items or potions to kill him. Was a normal straight up fight . Me in my Nightingale Armor dual wielding vs. Strongest Dragon! I dont have to mention that it felt kinda underwhelming. Especially compared to the epicness to the rest of the game.

There are almost no stats that distingush the gear and makes the gear choices more then something for the looks. I hope some mod or something will fix this! in TES games, gear isn't nearly as big of a deal as it is in d2 or WoW. You pretty much grab what works well for you. If you find a rare item, as in something with a name, you've got something rare. Gear just isn't nearly as big a deal here.

I just used + Show Spoiler + Dragonrend Alduin "peace summon" I think you can continue the game after finishing the main quest, as was the case in previous Elder Scrolls games. The only Bethesda games that ended after the main quest (disregarding DLC) were Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and Todd Howard has gone on the record to say that he regrets going with that decision to have a hard end to those games.

I dont know if any more dragons will spawn. I didnt play so much with that char since then. But thats why i put the word finish into speech marks. In Skyrim the mainquest is not as important as in other games. Its not marked as the mainquest or something. Heck, maybe its not even the mainquest! We dont know! ![]() BTW: You are pretty deep into the quest line - id say stop doing it and enjoy adventureing through the world a bit more. It will be better for your motivation!

Ive bought and downloaded Skyrim directly via Steam. First time, it took me about 5 1/2 hours, I installed it, it was working. Then I realized I installed it on my new SSD which was already pretty packed, so I decided so erase everything, delete the whole steam folder, download steam again. Then, I had to download Skyrim again (or Im not not even sure if it wasnt just a new patch), which took about 7 damn hours (I have relocated somewhere else where I have slightly slower internet). When, finally, I had downloaded it a second time, I got to the main menu in the game, then it jumped back to steam. I tried this a few times and it always jumped back to steam. AND NOW, it wants to download this whole shit again. I dont know what Ive done wrong or what exactly the problem is. Does anyone have an idea? The steam support seems totally retarded, nothing where I could mail to personally and from the specific areas of support, none of them seems to fit my problem. Please guys, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Maybe I'm not far enough in the game, but here's everything I recall: (these all have snow variations) Wolf Skeezer/Rat Troll Mammoth Rabbit Fox Giant Elk Bandits Hunters Army personnel Skeletons. Dragons Walrus thingies Did I forget anything? Have I not played the game enough? I'm level 17 and I've explored what I feel is a good portion of the map (nothing on the outer edges). Is it really not that diversified? Theres more than just snow variations for some of these. The bears have at least 4 different kinds and some of them hurts if your armor rating is low. The dragons have 3 different kinds + named ones. You did forget the Draugr which are the zombie like monsters, the liches and the ghosts. The vampires are also back and there are some lycanthropes too. Furthermore, there are dwarven ruins with mechanical monsters, blind goblins now called falmers and some weird creatures with assthma (sounds like it when theyre near you) which are called Hargraven. You will also meet the forsworn in your adventures (group of fanatics) as well as the return of the atronochs and such. The daedras are back as well. You will see them in time...
