It probably depends on difficulty but honestly as a mage I have had few problems doing the thieves guilds quests (not completed all of them yet though). You might have to reload your game a few times but they are very doable. I'm sure the same can be said for all guilds that don't represent your major skills.

I'm starting to think armor is useless when anything still kills me in 2-3 shots. I have a full dwarf set 1/3rd of the heavy armor perks and what not. Seems to me like a really badly designed highest difficulty. Or then fighters are just underpowered. I'm playing on Master too but I'm more of a thief style at the moment. Try using your shield more maybe? It's not like Demon/Dark Souls for example where you leave your shield up all the time - if you time your block with their swing you'll get an optimal block. That's all I can think of right now though until I try heavy armor myself.

Took me a few attempts. On another note, I REALLY need help with a quest: + Show Spoiler + The Word of Power quest where you go into Volunruud and have to fight some ethereal dude named Kvenel at the end. I'm in full dwarven armour + shield and I get like 3 shot. I cannot do a thing, I just drop like a sack of shit. Is there some trick or am I just too low level? Level 12 btw.

Also, does anyone know if you can recharge weapons or if there is a companion at winterhold? Just go to your inventory, look at the bottem of the screen to see the hotkey, then you have to select a filled soul gem et voila^^ Just finished the dark brotherhood quests and... + Show Spoiler + I thought it was freaking amazing. I heard people complaining prelaunch that it was dissapointing but apart from feeling sort of short I absolutely loved it:D Directly spent 20k to pimp the new sanc hehe. Thats exactly what I play^^ Stamina pumping, archer/dagger thief, besides that mostly smithing, not too much alchemy. I'm lvl 27 right now and altho there have been some hard fights, nothing impossible- its been awesome so far:D

I can definitely see non-thieves having some trouble clearing Thieves Guild though. Thief pride, mang.

There is no level scaling if I recall correctly. As long as you make the right poisons, you should be just fine at killing shit. You should have quite high stealth crits as well.

I wont be doing all factions in 1 go. My Nord Warrior is trying to bring the empire to fall, so he wont be doing any of the imperial legion, nor puny bards and wizards colleges. Not sure on thieves, havent come up with a reason why he would want to join since he despises Riften.

Also i've been living up my crafting i notice as soon as i unlock say dwarven merchants still selling me dwarven shit ionno if that's just a happen stance of me leveling along with my crafting or not I can live with the frost bolt. The wood mage that hit me with it was carrying a staff of familiar or w/e. I can summon familiars for no Magicka and i get 8 for a petty soul stone. It only weighs 8 weight too so very light and since I'm not a conjurer its a bonus skill that I got for free. She was using a shield and the staff and frost bolts it was a crazy fight. I also found her mining and a lot of different ores were also on her person. It was a good dead body scavenge.

Of course by peak I mean shuffle while sneaking to get the crit bonus from archery. -- Alchemy is good to but I would focus on the poison route myself and maybe illusion magic with small blades as the one handed skill route. I was looking at it and if I can get heavy bonus damage to dagger due to the skills then get teh x15 crit I will wreck anything I can sneak up on.

Nice to see a bug/fixes thread as well. Despite what I read, mine has been functioning 99% good, and I'm really fast with the interface now.

Every enemy scales afaik; bandits start becoming bandit outlaws/highwaymen/etc. They don't start pimping out enchanted daedric bows but they still scale with your level.
