Why is Day9's icon a marine? Hasn't he been around here long enough to upgrade to something fancy?

I need to pickup a book for a quest and all it will do it Read the book. I am 100 percent stuck in a dungeon until I can actually pick up the book, but as I read it it says "E" to take, but E doesnt do anything.
Is there a way to reset the keybindings to default? I have to just stop playing at this point sadly lol.
The keybinding should be whatever you set 'use' to. In most cases you need to figure out what key you rebound that to. In some cases you actually do have to hit the key it says. So basically, memorize the default keybindings if you want to change them...
I am able to have playable FPS on Ultra with extra settings enabled, but the mouse lag is so bad that I have to turn it down to High so that I get 40+ and the crosshair doesn't slop around so much. Sensitivity isn't even scaled properly for widescreen :/

Pray at a shrine or drink a potion of cure disease.
Btw, apparently, there is a tomb below Whiterun where I can retrieve the items off of the body of one of my dead companions, which is convenient since I thought the body had disappeared completely.
So I found this cool old fort(?) that was run down and had some forsworn around it. Anyone able to tell me more about it. Its on the southwest corner of the giant field area where whiterun is. So basically if you go west from there you'll see the castle. Its built up on a hill overlooking a road to its south.
Judging from the age and how worn down it is. It looks be be made by the nords themselves. though I could be wrong in this.
The location to me suggests it was built as a defensive fort a little while before the imperials came in, Also add to that fact that the enterance is facing north, maybe a sign that if needed they could retreat into their own land. It looks like the only people in there have been the forsworn in the last while, so I think once the imperials came in the nords retreated and the imperials just didn't care to occupy it for long, if at all.
I remembered that i could get a samurai sword or some sort of katana back in oblivion, is it possible in skyrim as well? If so, where or when can i get one?

Hi, I just bought skyrim today played a couple hours, Note I haven't played any of the older skyrim, so I was wondering Is it better to have a shield or spell with a one handed sword, I cannot decide which one to go with atm, any tips, advantages, disadvantages
Started out as a stealth assassin, got sort of disappointed with daggers being smaller, weaker swords until late game when you get the perk for them so I've switched to some mage 1h sort of guy.
I'm really looking forward to playing through it again to try the Nordic Barbarian.

I just found a neat little "exploit." I was doing the quest for the Dark Brotherhood where you have to + Show Spoiler +
kill that drunken Orc that never leaves the pub
and I kept failing to kill him without getting a 1k bounty on my head since he was never left alone. What I did was poison my sword with a Frenzy potion (don't have any Frenzy spells :3) and killed him with it. I only got a 40 gold bounty since I technically killed him AFTER he started fighting me. Just make sure to not kill them in 1 hit since I think you'll get a 1k bounty anyways.
AMD 1055t 6 core and Radeon 5670, runs well on medium/high. About 35-40fps on 1280x1024. Was pleasantly surprised and expecting worse.
I really don't like the "head bob" effect that's especially pronounced when sprinting. Is there an option to disable it? It gives me a headache so I've been forced to play in 3rd person.
I was overencumbered and stopped by Windhelm to sell my stuff, but a dragon attacked me in the middle of the god damn town! Thought they only roamed the tundra.
I am a bit undeceided, but I would really like to play a nice single player rpg again. I have a AMD Athlon II x4 630 Processor with 2.80 GHz, 4 GB Ram, ATI RADEON HD 5770 on Windows 7 64-bit. That should be ok to run the game at a decent resolution, shouldn't it?
I am a bit worried for the console like appearance I have seen in streams. Does it play like an arcade game or do you get a rpg like feeling playing it; how is the immersion?
Lastly, is it playable in 3rd person view, because I quite often get motion sick from first person view in games?
If anyone could help me answering these question, that would be nice, before I spend 50 €.
