I'm honestly considering just bumming through the rest of the main quests (~level 15) just so I can beat the game and make a new character. Being a Thief is super fun and shit, but I'm ready to just start pounding through shit with a sword/shield and lots of destruction magic.

I really wish I could play this game, but allas... I have been playing all my games on a 2008 macbook that can barely run Starcraft 2. I'll be getting a nice gaming PC soon, but for now it looks like I'll be playing the Oblivion mac port to satisfy myself.

You'll be assigned a companion who auto-replaces your follower, after the mission he'll just leave and you can pick up another follower. If you're already past that point I'd recommend finding a similar mission, sorry that I can't be of more help
edit: at above, just click on a star and it'll ask you if you want that perk

Zelniq, I think after a while she will 'get bored of waiting' and return to her default position, which for you should be the keep. Atleast, that's what happened to me. ^^

Err, any idea how i can move objects in the menu, rotating and stuff? As it was shown in the gameplay demos.
For the life i can't of me i tried everything to no success!

hm; here it is, kinda complicated
Mods- maybe sticky this in the PC help forum? -----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently some things were overlooked in the PC version manual. I know that in my own user manual, the instructions on page 7 (Items menu) that cover "Menu Controls" completely overlooks how to manipulate or rotate an item in the inventory and how to zoom in on it.
On my PC I have found that the following works:
To rotate / manipulate an item in your inventory: Select the item with your mouse so that the graphical representation or image of the item shows up in the upper righthand portion of your screen. A vertical line separates the list from the item being displayed. Move your mouse pointer horizontally over that vertical line, to the area of the text description that is right next to the name of the thing that you selected. You must move the mouse pointer straight over to the right. Then when the pointer is on the side of the screen with that text description, move your mouse pointer up to the graphical representation or image of the thing you selected. If you just mouse over to the image you may accidentally choose a different item, so be careful.
Now that your mouse pointer is on the image of the item, you can use the mouse to rotate / manipulate the item by left-clicking and moving the mouse, and examine it from all sides as you rotate it. It seems awkward at first. You'll get used to it fast
To zoom in on items you are rotating / manipulating in your inventory: You must of course be able to manipulate / rotate the item already. Use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom the camera in and out. The display will change slightly so that the item you are manipulating is the only thing visible in the menu, and it will be centered. You can get a close-up view by doing this, and you can still rotate and manipulate as you did before you zoomed in the camera
If you have other undocumented controls for PC, please post them.

You have to have the prerequisites to unlock any of the ones after the first in each tree.

You should be able to just left click and drag it around, or use the right stick on your controller if you're using one. Maybe try clicking a little bit to the right of the object; for some reason all the objects in the menu seem to have shifted a bit to the left, or their mouse detection range has shifted a bit to the right, if that makes sense. Maybe that's not the case with yours but it's worth a try.

Really didn't like Oblivion but this game sucks you in so fast. I'd like advice on characters classes though. I'm only about 4 hours in so I'm considering switching if there is a nice benefit. I chose Cat People because they looked hilariously awesome. Through my couple hours of playing, I really enjoyed 1hand combat + spells mixed in so something like a combat/mage hybrid. Does it suck to make hybrid characters? So noobie to these type of games but I am so excited to continue playing tonight. Just don't role a thief/rogue style class and you should be good. I got mine to about 15 at which point I realized that the stealth aspects of the class don't work particularly well and you get shafted for fighting multiple mobs at once and on boss fights (considering stealth doesn't even work in those scenarios and you need light armor for stealth to work at all). After rerolling a 2 hand axe/heavy armor focused character I absolutely destroy everything in one or 2 swings on the default difficulty, definitely went ahead and put it on masters. Also I get this feeling that by the timer you reach higher levels you will basically be a heavily hybridized character anyways. There simply aren't that many talents to choose for each specialization so it encourages exploration. This is almost completely untrue. I've been playing a thief type character on Master difficulty for like 17 hours now and I'm level 26. If you're having trouble with multiple mobs, it means you need to utilize all options available to you as a stealth class. You can pull groups separately like in many RPGs and destroy them 1 by 1. Not to mention you can do multiple stealth crits with a bow. You can be far enough away from a target that they won't detect you even if you get hit by them once or multiple times. Another reason thief is awesome - run into a difficult humanoid fight? Steal all his shit. Now he has to fight you while he's naked.
Hmm, well I couldn't make it work. After attacking any mob with a bow from stealth all mobs in the area would bum rush me and ultimately I would have to spam through pots by the time I got higher level just to survive. I rarely ever could sneak up on an enemy to do a backstab with my daggers because they simply would just turn around and attack me. I was using all light armor to reduce noise and but it still rarely ever worked.
All I know is my 2 hand axe warrior is infinitely more powerful than my rogue build was, it could have just been I was playing it wrong I guess, though I always play a rogue toon in Elder Scrolls games. So yeah, it just felt like they didn't flesh it out this time around.
I do plan on eventually getting my sneak up on my warrior so I can do the thieves guild missions though.
