I also have a wired 360 controller and play some games with it (batman for example, or racing games, or platformers, etc), but this game deserves to be played with m/k. I feel the menu system is awesome, I can see how it would be perfect for a controller but I make my way around it with a mouse just fine. My only complaint so far has to do with the bugs. How do you not catch a bug where the favorites functionality doesn't work if you rebind the key? That was almost game-breaking for me and that's unfortunate because it's just a bug that should have been caught and has nothing to do with the quality of the game. They had to have not put any real testing in the PC version and I find that a bit unacceptable. That's not the only bug that annoys me of course but an obvious "really? how did you not find and fix this..." The menu system can be glitchy but I'm sure they'll fix all this and in the end it'll work exactly as it should. In that regard I do feel the menu system works really well (when it works) so as long as they fix it I'll have no complaints (it doesn't matter to me if it was "consolized", it just matters if it works well and IMO it's conceptually brilliant). So overall, amazing game so far, not enough time put into polishing the PC version but I have faith it'll be fixed and the issues are minor enough that they're not stopping me from playing late into the night. I can see this being GOTY for me if it continues to be this much fun. the favorite key still works, but its as follows: the keybinding for faovites is for selecting a item out of them, to put an item into the favorites you have to use the key that changes 1st/3rd person and is also they key to turn locks when lockpicking. I think my nord warrior will go raid an imperial town soon.

Adrenaline rush plus the natural skills of the Redguard makes them really good warriors. After casting Adrenaline Rush you won't run out of Stamina for around 1 minute so you can spam power strikes during that time.

With my original keybind changes, the favorites key didn't work AT ALL. I tried every single key on the keyboard, it didn't work. Reset to default, hotkey worked again. Change WASD to ESDF, change POV from F to C, change sheath/unsheath from whatever it was to Z, change favorites button from whatever to Q, then it wouldn't work at all. But, if anyone's having this problem, I did luckily stumble upon an answer that's working for me until they fix it. Make the favorites button = T, sheath = C, POV = Z. T opens favorites but won't toggle it closed (like the default would), so instead you can just use T to open and tab to close. Z favorites/unfavorites. The keybindings I wanted didn't work but for whatever magical reason these keybindings DO work. Also in case someone doesn't already know, you can bind a favorite to a number 1-8. That might be super common knowledge now but throwing it out there in case because it really helps.

I want a brutally honestly opinion, I'm already leaning away from it based on what I have read/seen. no. It is not. The menu system, however, is made to easier fit console users. I, personally, however, have not had any trouble with them with the exception of hotkeying offhand items, which is not possible at this time. Will probably be patched in later. edit: If not patched, then lets be honest, its going to be modded in ![]()

I want a brutally honestly opinion, I'm already leaning away from it based on what I have read/seen. If your computer can run it well enough to make it look better than console, and you're prefer to play at your computer instead of your console setup, get it for PC. There are some bugs/glitches right now but they'll be patched eventually and it looks sooooo good with the graphics turned up. Also, I just refuse to play FPS games on a controller so it for me it was mouse/keyboard or ignore the game forever. The PC version will end up having a ton of community support through mods and it'll be worth having in the end. On November 13 2011 01:26 SKTerran.117 wrote: What about the graphics? Most of the screen shots I have seen look terrible compared to what I was expecting. I am aware its an open world game, but thats no excuse. I am also concerned about bugs ruining the game play (already went through that with fallout 3). I think it's a beautiful game. There's also some not-so-beautiful mixed in, like hair and general human character design. My lizard guy's textures blow away anything I've seen till now though. Water could be better, etc... I think it just depends on how much you can ignore the garbage and how much you enjoy the times where you're wandering, glance up and see this amazing view you want to sit and stare at for a few seconds before moving on. Skyrim has a TON of those moments for me.

One of the most beautiful games I've ever played, and I'm only on "high". I havent encountered any bugs yet, but I have heard of others who have. Then again, I never did in fallout either.

(I am talking PC and i have .ini mods for skyrim) Not to mention that mods will make this game look 10x better in the future anyhow. But right now the only graphics i see wrong are the shadows (which come out like little blocks sometimes and can glitch weirdly.) My GF sat and watched me play all of yesterday and now ive been forced to get another copy for her so she doesnt gank my PC. ("legit" copy of course..cough not paying twice cough)

Can anyone give me some advice how to progress in this game as efficiently as possible? I haven't even started playing it yet, any advice is welcome. Efficiently completing the main story in an Elder Scrolls game is...difficult - purely on how much there is to do besides the main quest. But you can just follow the main story line quest if you're paying attention, without too much trouble, though I can't say anything about how difficult it might be if you just focus that. I've not finished the story for this one yet so I can't say if there's anything you *have* to do though, beyond the main story quests. Anyway the reason I'm actually posting is in regards to a quest named "Revealing the Unseen". I'm not going to say where it is, or where I encountered trouble but I found an issue that couldn't be helped by Google or 30 minutes of reloading and trying different things because there was actually a bug preventing me from going forward. If you're on that quest and are stuck then feel free to open the spoiler box in case you have the same error, I won't be providing any spoilers beyond what're absolutely necessary to explain the problem - but that does mean some spoilers not suitable for people who're trying to avoid them all. + Show Spoiler [Revealing the Unseen Bug] + When you finally reach your destination for this quest you'll meet a mage who will take you around the device and ask you to put the focussing crystal in to The Occular. Upon doing so what should happen is the top bit spins around and a beam of light shoots in to and various other lights bounce around the room and you need to solve a puzzle to finish the quest involving the positioning of those lights. What I found occured was I'd place the crystal and the top would spin up and I'd get no light source at all, and there was simply nothing I could do. I attempted reloading the game from both a quick save point and an actual save point but the problem persisted (though I didn't know that it was a problem then) and then the game crashed, and after reloading the game, even from the quick load point that had failed before, the light now spawned correctly and Iw as able to continue with the puzzle. Therefore, if you've placed the crystal in and there are no big blue lights shining in to it and around the room, restart the whole client.
