I've only skimmed the reviews so far, I don't want spoilers, even content spoilers, but the game sounds amazing. As far as the bugs go I'm not to picky about it. I'm not sure a game like this can be completely bug free; still looking forward to an unofficial patch on Tesnexus. I honestly enjoyed oblivion for what it was even though its quite depressing next to Morrowind. Modding oblivion made it much better though.
VPN secure works fine for me.
Regarding the game, it's really fucking awesome. There's a few bugs in it (like + Show Spoiler +) but it's still amazing. I'm really fucking loving it so far.

My verdict with the hour and a half I played before work is that you should wait for the day 1 patch. There's some glitchy stuff from the get-go--within a minute of me getting out of the opening cutscene, I had to reload to an autosave because the game made it so I couldn't progress
+ Show Spoiler +(for those of you who have played, the wall didn't break where you were supposed to jump out of the tower)

I don't agree with this, personally. I've played for ~3 hours now and only encountered one bug where a floor disappeared. Other than that, I didn't notice anything at all.

wow- i preloaded, then connected to a vpn and suddenly all my preload is gone... back to waiting 2 hours till it's done again

god damn, i just hoped to create a character and walk around just to test out the game and before i noticed, i spent 2 hours on it already.....
no bug so far, just the magic sound effect is a bit too loud compared to everything else

Games like Skyrim are so huge that's almost impossible to polish to the point of perfection upon release. I'll be enjoying Skyrim a lot once I get it, and afterwards I'm interested in seeing if it'll top the experience I had with Dark Souls. Seeing the reviews, I'm sad about the repetitive dragon fighting, but it was to be expected.

Are destruction spells more awesome than FIREBALL! and are there runes and shit? I am doing a melee/magic hybrid, and I heard there are runes and shit you can put on the ground to disable enemies. Also, how is summoning shit?

Can you give some insight into spell selection? I didn't exactly like how the menus worked in the dragon fight vid linked here earlier... ^^;

you can go fav some of the spells and equipment in the main menu.
then in game, you can press Q to bring up a list of the fav'd spells and equipment. There you can just assign a number key for them.
