Oh well, at least we're not Australia :p I'm still on the fence about buying ME3 or not. I really really love ME but Origin, launch day DLC that is HUGE storywise, etc. I really don't know.

Except that prices are usually adjusted for UK. € prices are almost always the same as $ which really is annoying. It's usually cheaper for me to import games and stuff from the UK than to buy it here even with packaging and shipping costs.

I've been buying games at amazon.co.uk for almost 7 years now. Prices are better than on the mainland (30-35 pounds compared to 60 euro) and a guaranteed English version. Even with added shipping it's still worth to buy at amazon. Damn game publishers selling only localized versions in 1 language. For patches in Polish I usually have to wait ~2 months longer than in English. Fuck that shit so hard. Rather import a proper language version that gets patches first-hand than wait X months before someone puts up polish patches. Also I think I'm a ME fan, and no I won't buy the Day 1 DLC for ME3. I just don't care about the content in it. I won't also boycott it. Just gonna get the standard edition, nothing fancy, and wait patiently for it to arrive at my house. No running around after weather balloons for me.

Pretty sure there will be a "retrain powers" option in the real game though, which would probably cost some credits, but nothing else, just like it did in ME2.

In ME2 there was also a shared recharge time if I remenber correctly. If you want to play as Adept I recommen only equipping a pistol so your recharge speed is insanely fast. This way you can do very nice combos. In my memory combining skills in ME2 was harder than in ME3 but I mainly played Infiltrator in the demo.

They were shared in ME2. You probably can't combo because the cooldowns are huge on the demo cause you are carrying 4 weapons, you'll probably only carry 1 or 2 in the actual game. I was suuupppperrr hyped for this game after playing the demo, both single and multiplayer, but this day 1 DLC and all the other blatant milking (All the extra guns if you buy lots of other shit etc) EA is doing is pushing it overboard. I'm definitely not buying bullshit ripoff DLC, but then again the game is obviously incomplete without that DLC. I'm tempted to do a TotalBiscuit and just not buy the game at all. I can't believe I just wrote that.

Games usually come at fairly equal price. A series like Modern warfare is way way way easier to reproduce and send out than creating a New IP, engine, art and story from scratch, yet both these game would've probalby been sold for about the same ammount, even if the manhours put into the new IP is three times as many. Granted, ME is no new IP. I'm just trying to illustrate a point that making a game is not a straight forward formula that always takes 3 years, 2 month and 9 days. And everything created within that timeline is to be included. Game are never priced for their gametime/content value at all. I bought skyrim for about 10-15 Euros cheaper than MW 2.5 and I've gotten about 3 times as much playtime and content out of it, so I don't see how that's not a huge issue but apperntly some DLC is. That said, I'm not a fan of all these other things, Buy shirt here get this guy, buy a figure here get that gun, buy at store x get gun Y. It's just obvious milking and dosen't sit well with me. You can also argue that this DLC is tied in with the overall story in ME, wich is why it shouldn't be DLC. Wich is fair, but that's another discussion of it's own.
