I just wish they'd stop talking out of their ass, they can't have it both ways: "It's a complete game without the DLC!" "Any true fan will want the DLC, it's important!" It's one or the other, not both. Its more like "Any die-hard fan will want it." Its like buying a Shepard action figure, casual players don't give 2 shits about the lore or story, only hardcore players do. Just like above stated, it won't be crucial to the story and/or it'll just be another dude with a gun. Besides, isn't it free with the collectors, because I preordered that. Either way, I won't be boycotting any Bioware games, they've earned my money with basically all their titles (yes I enjoyed DA2). EA publishes virtually every big title these days anyway.

Well, admittedly, you likely will be getting some of it, yes, but definitely less and definitely later than you want to.

Honestly gameplay wise there are plenty of shooters that are better than Mass Effect. As I mentioned before, the one area where ME has been better than other games was story. They are now making you pay extra if you actually want the full story experience.

Not quite, it's more like Blizzard making you pay extra to play the special protoss campaign missions in the WoL campaign. I agree it's bad that they're doing this, but their reason isn't THAT awful (wasn't ready for the certificate for the official launch due to it being made by a different team, but it will be ready by launch day). It should be free IMO, but whatever. I guess I can understand the argument for it being a collector's edition perk that others have access to with a small payment. It's bad, but it's not the worst thing ever. I don't agree with their decision, but I don't disagree strongly enough to boycott the game. I know this won't be a popular position, and I can understand being angry about it.

Gold shows you kills don't matter. Survival and teamplay above all is needed. Even as Vanguard, you want +HP +Barrier because as a human you are around 500-600 points each without it, which let me tell you is SQUISHY. I mean fucking Phantom/Nemesis/Atlas fodder squishy. I found that heavy melee is great and powerful sure, but it has it's specific place. Cannot run around meleeing everything in sight above bronze, which is hilariously easy once you go Gold. My Krogan soldier has 1200 HP and 1600 Shields and better initial melee than a human vanguard's upgraded one. It's there to get you out of dangerous 1v1 spots, like vs a phantom or centurion. You. Want. HP/Shields/Barriers and regeneration. AT. HIGHER. LEVELS. PERIOD. Oh and Vanguard charge does not have a cooldown =). Wear a pistol or choose the weigh perks for a shotty and charge/nova everything to death. Also skill shockwave 1-2 levels to kill guardians up close. By the time you finish nova animation you can charge again. If you skill Nova for not wasting shields and charge for 100% shield recharge you're golden as long as you have a brain. Yep, this pretty much. What I've learned so far about multiplayer: Regardless of class/race, get all shield/health upgrades. If you're supposed to melee, you want more health and shields to survive. If you dont melee, no reason not to get melee damage. ---In almost every circumstance (which 1 or two exceptions), what you'll want to do is max out Fitness/Alliance Training (or your species' equivelent) and 1-2 skills. You don't have enough points by 20 (the level cap) to max everything, so you'll be left with enough to max 3 things, have 5/6 in one, and either 3/6 or 4/6 in another (i forget). The other option is to max Fitness, Alliance Training, and fully max two skills. This will essentially nullify an ability of yours, which is often not a problem. I don't think there's a class where all abilities are even useful, more or less a necessity. For example, on a human infiltrator, I'd argue that cryo-blast is just underpowered and basically useless. Sticky grenades can be used a relatively cheap way to hit atlases, but are also not great. ---As for gear, choosing the best gun is often not a great decision for your character. more weight can greatly raise the cooldowns for your abilities, which are the strengths of a lot of classes. For example, on my adept, I use a pistol and just that. No assault rifle, no sniper, no shotgun. My abilities have less than 2 second cooldowns and are just overpowered by my standards. This idea can be applied in other situation, like for my infiltrator. I time my invisibility to be as quick as possible (because I'm my group's objective runner and medic), but I still need a sniper rifle. So, the compromise is that i only have a sniper, but no side arm. If I need ammo, my quickened invisibility allows me to simply run to a box and back safely most of the time. But, some classes, like Sentinels, don't really as heavily on active abilities. In this case, by all means, feel free to use heavy machineguns and sidearms, as lengthened cooldowns are irrelevant. The Revenant, in particular, is one of the most fun/destructive guns that I have. ---Also, in terms of difficulty, I say just go to the next one once you can competently get to at least 7 each time of the previous difficulty. Like, if you get between 7 and completion each time on silver, you can prolly handle gold if you have 4 friends of roughly level 16ish. The higher rewards are definitely worth it if you can complete the levels. P.S. The transition from Bronze to Silver is worse than Silver to Gold if you ask me. Don't be intimidated, it's not that bad. ---Lastly, Engineers are overpowered. Use em.

Yeah, come on bioware you gotta protect your multiplayer so it doesn't become a joke. Even more so then it is, but it's not that easy to get everything, i think i got all the weapons and weapon mods but i've been running a click macro buying vet for like an hour now and i still don't have most character types unlocked, makes me question if things like female eng is even unlockable in the beta. Because i unlocked it so there are 2 characters in each class, no more then that so maybe that's all there is in the beta.

I really hope that this serves as a beta as well and they use it to find and fix errors. Or is too late for that?

But the most glitches i noticed is besides horrible lag at times, is when i sprint i can sometimes get my camera all weird so it's not longer right behind me but sorta off to the side, and once i joined a game and the camera just fell though the floor On February 23 2012 16:31 HaXXspetten wrote: How 'bout just not using cheat engine anyway? ![]() Anyway, all of you HAVE to watch/read this: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/space-edition-mass-effect/727165 http://mashable.com/2012/02/21/mass-effect-3-challenge/ Bioware, you've officially gone crazy LOL. I agree that partitioning sections of the full game and selling it seperately from day 1 is ridiculous, but if you could just not pay $10 for the dlc. EA/Bioware has gone a bit crazy with pre-order bonuses & launch dlcs, but that doesn't mean you have to skip on the game altogether.

The only way I can "vote" is with my money, therefore it *does* mean I have to skip on the entire game. I know this won't change much; ME3 will get good reviews despite all this and it will, no doubt, sell well on all platforms. That said, I just don't feel like supporting what used to be my favourite developer anymore in any way whatsoever. There's just too much business in this business (i.e. game industry).
