There may be a couple of exceptions, but overall day one DLC certainly is just a ripp off. If someone is seriously trying to tell me that all those Mass Effect pre-order DLCs and other crap is stuff that's being worked on after the game is finished or something like that, then I must laugh. | ||

You get them by buying Recruit or Veteren packs which sometimes come with "character cards" that either unlock a new race or add-ons for a race you already have with the money you get from clearing missions. Really fun way to play, although the Adapt and Engineer are really, really strong I've found, and the Infiltrator with the Widow is just OP as hell, so much stuff just dies if you hit them, although the damage scaling in higher difficulties does make it so that the Widow I isn't as OP, in bronze it's a 1 hit kill anywhere without shields/armor/barrier, I can only imagine how strong a Widow X would be.... | ||

But because EA is trying to sell it all at once, it just seems cynical that they are trying to sell you content WITH the game, which is never how its suppose to work. EDIT : Any word on ME being available on steam after launch day? Or is it going to be only available on origin for the foreseeable future? | ||

I can't say I was impressed by the multiplayer, just felt like a generic rehashing of the much superior Gears of War Horde Mode. Not saying it won't turn out better with my modes and maps etc, but the demo didn't make me want to rush out and purchase it based on the multiplayer. | ||

I remember a fiasco with Call of Duty a while back that every map pack they sold MONTHS apart for $15 a pop were found to be on the disc at release, just encrypted. It would not surprise me if the same shit was being done here. | ||

I liked multiplayer more than single-player in the demo tbh. I've never played games like gears of wars and such, so I can't compare it. From a technical stand point the game let me down. I mean it claims to not support my graphics card. Add in that I'm on a 64-bit system, so the file to change the graphics manually (because I know my computer can handle it) doesn't even exist, and it means I'm stuck dealing with a really shitty quality game. Seriously who the fuck does quality control there. The entire scene where Shepard is talking to the kid in the vent was almost pure black. Even if I'm on the lowest quality setting I should still be able to fucken see what's going on. The movements and voice acting of the characters didn't feel right during cutscenes. The scene where Shepard tells the human council (or whatever they are) they need to fight or die is really underwhelming. The forced drama from that kid dying was just stupid as well.... And I agree that running and movement in general just seems weird. | ||
