I just played a few hours of Multiplayer on I am pleasently surprised. Fun mechanics, challenging waves and various enemy types. For me it seems this game has great potential to be brilliant, from what I have seen everything has been absolute top quality. Now I only need my High-Res texture pack and I am happy. Sor far it seems for me that BioWare delivered once again (I liked Dragon age 2...)
To be fair that guy unlocks the collector assault rifle like 10 times, although if there actually is a day 1 DLC im going to be quite sad. I would assume they give it to people who preorder or something like Zaheed in ME 2 where you get a code with your purchase...
Am I the only one who doesn't want to play the single player part of the demo? Just feels like you'll build up the anticipation and then be forced to wait three weeks to continue, not to mention that you'll have to re-do what you've just did. Would appreciate if people spoiler-tag'ed anything story-wise from the SP-demo because of this. (Maybe you already do, just didn't want to look through all the posts in case someone didn't :/)

theres no story show in the demo so(other than the fact the reapers reached earth!) the demo is like 10 mins max and theres a huge gap betwen earth and the random planet you reach in timeline

oh ok Doesn't make me feel like playing it before the real game comes out though
I dont know if this has been posted already, but Im gona post it anyways. I find it wierd how almost noone is complaining about animations, so here is something to lower your anticipation for 1%
Don't think I've seen a single game/demo/preview, that didn't get slaugtherd cause it didn't reach each and everyones expecations.
I'm glad I'm able to see past all these wierd querks people get hung up on and all frantic about. It takes me no effort at all, and while you get your panties in a twist, I get a good gameplay experience.
Also, people arguing about shifty graphics in the distance and so on, needs to remember this is not a pc title, it's also a game on a somewhat old game system, wich means it just can't go overboard like PC exclusive titles can. It's a shame, but it's not like it's gamebreaking either.
Anyway, I'm mostly enjoying it so far. I am skipping SP because all I really wanted the dmeo for was comparing PC/Xbox and finding my preference. I haven't tried xbox yet but the cover system feels way more awkward on PC than it does on a console. Other than that though I was pleasantly surprised by most of the interface and other commodities that work nicely with PC. My biggest fear with the console version is that it will have shitty textures.

It's just the newest greed trend. You make a game, remove 5%, sell the 95% for full price, then sell the remaning 5% for about 10 times it's original value, had it been a part of the 95%
Although day 1 DLCs are a low blow, you have to keep in mind there's a time gap between them printing the game onto disks and the time you - the consumer - get the game. From what blizzard said themselves it's about 2 months? I assume it's the same for most companies.
When they print the game on disks, it doesn't mean their work is done. They are still optimising it, correcting bugs, making new content etc. That's why so many games nowadays have Day1 patches etc. Maybe disk space is also a restriction? Or just everyday normal human greed. W/E.
I believe ME2 also had a launch DLC, which was Zaeed Massani?
I haven't been following this ME3 DLC so can anyone tell me if it will be free like the one I mentioned above, or will we have to pay for it?

Zaeed came with the Cerberus DLC, which was more of a bonus than "Day 1 DLC" (can you even buy the Cerberus pack? I think it's code only)
I don't really mind, and I can't say I didn't see it coming either. Oh well.
The print->ship date excuse is probably just... an excuse lol

Actually there were 2 dlcs on day 1 for ME2: Zaeed Massani & Normandy Crash Site, both free.
