Woops! Well an exalted deck still might work, the base of unblockables and exalted with some defenders works quite well even if you dont have the rares.

I drafted one of the best selesnya decks ever, Pegasi and Centaurs out the wazoo, G1 is over T5 vs a Rakdos player who obviously had no idea what he was doing, and then G2 I don't draw a single forest in the 10 turns it takes him to kill me, and then G3 the exact same thing happens. pegasi are terrible. U can't have the best selesnya deck with them, srry.

Yeah, in constructed they are terrible, but in draft they do pretty well. Not as good as Runewing though... someone managed to draft a playset of them - he won the FNM haha

Personally going for Simic cause I expect a lot of people to attempt aggro gruul/boros but aggro limited is rough to get the right curve so I plan on countering with a control deck.

Regular it looks like boros or gruul will be best, so why not go one of them and build naya? I, personally, am choosing orzhov for every event so I can have max attempts at pulling ghost dad v2 :D And if I open sick boros I can go RBW ezpz.

Just got to look for ways to steal the play. Something you will need to learn to do if you want keep piloting that deck and other decks like that.

The art for most of the cards though is *** gorgeous. For example, I want this art on a playmat: + Show Spoiler + ![]() I'll just name some of the cards that catch my eye for possible constructed playability that haven't been spoiled until now and let you guys look it up: Holy Mantle (because Bant Auras is a thing now) Spell Rupture (Delver is probably a thing again now) Act of Treason (reprint, still good) Verdant Haven (unlikely, but it does ramp, and should be a Limited all-star) Frenzied Tilling (unlikely, but it's land destruction plus ramping, so maybe) Ground Assault (should be a Limited all-star, and might see play in some sort of ramp deck) Martial Glory (a reverse Agony Warp in every form, so not as good, but it's common, so Limited all-star) Beckon Apparition (because Midnight Haunting sees play, and it's prohibitive cost isn't as bad as it could have been) Boros Reckoner (a 3/3 dude that can stick around for a while, and when it dies can help take out the thing that killed it, or go to the face) Deathcult Rogue (unlikely, but you never know)

Yeah, Delver style decks are typically much harder to play than they look, definitely gotta practice a lot. There's definitely a lot more to it than "he was on the play, gg," the mirror typically comes down to who maximizes each card better than the other guy. One thing I notice a lot of players doing is just casting their cantrips for no reason other than having open mana and nothing else to do on their turn- wasting Brainstorms and Ponders is like the easiest way to throw away the mirror or many other tight matchups (not specific to pauper delver or whatever, I win plenty of French EDH games due to my opponents wasting their Brainstorm/Ponder/Preordain on turn 1, and of course many Legacy games are won or lost on the back of (im)proper Brainstorming)

There aren't as many constructed playable cards as there were in RTR, probably only a dozen rares, a few of the mythics, and maybe 10-20 commons/uncommons that could see play. There's a 2 mana Edict at instant. Spell Rupture is interesting, but it lacks the consistency of Mana Leak, also the colors for Delver has yet to be hammered out so we shall see. Spell Rupture seems more like a RUG card than a Delver card to be perfectly honest. The decks that unsurprisingly benefited the most are the control builds, I don't see how the bane of control builds like Delver can beat them post board now.

But I agree on the new edict being strong (will be in many MD or SB of decks with access to black mana). Many in MTGS people called Delver dead based on the meta these past weeks. I don't follow the scene that much to talk about that really. GTC seems a blast for limited tbh :D Picture me happy. Orzhov and Boros or a combination of both, most likely.
