I did it at level 8 and didn't get hit once. Then again I built a Fiona and a Lann before too. Seriously it isn't that hard to get the timings down. It's actually quite easy as evie, you can just kite him endlessly and drop magic arrow. | ||

If you ARE going hammer, you're going to want sword as backup for future bosses that, in all honesty, are just absurdly difficult with hammers. | ||

On the other hand, if you're a decent spear lann, you'll actually be a nice asset as main DPS in later boats. Smashy fiona, not so much. | ||
