When I opened counterstrike/team fortress 2, my ping would be 400+, and I wouldn't be able to play. I ran scans and it said there was a problem with the installer/uninstaller, and that it had a virus. So I decided not to play ;___; </3 (If you know how to fix this, a quick message would be nice ♥) When I did play though, it was sooooo just... ♥♥♥ Closed beta there was like, no lag, and it was super fun. Wish I had gotten to play more and wasn't such an FPS-addict. | ||

Vindictus worked fine for several days, but I noticed that when playing SC2 I had horrible ping like you describe. I tried playing again a few days later, but ping was still really bad! I restarted my computer and then everything was fine. I'll have to do some more experimenting to find out if running vindictus is what screws up the latency. | ||

SC2 wasn't too bad but it was really, really laggy. After a few ping/latency tests, I figured it was only my on account of my computer, and the browser I use was still working just as quickly. So I did a virus scan of the whole computer, and it said that Vindictus was an infected file. This has happened before, too. I wanted to play League of Legends or whatever and I couldn't(well, I could, but I didn't want to keep it cause it screwed up my counterstrike).. So, I don't know what's up. D: | ||

When you download Vindictus you get some irritating and unrelated program which uses all your upload. Maybe that is the cause of the high ping. Check your processes. | ||

If you dont get why this is amazing let me spell it out for you. Spam her magic arrow spell until you're nearly out of stamina. Then use any opportunities to melee attack to continue to do damage while your stamina is regenerating. Go back to magic arrow, this will give a knockdown on any opponent very very quickly. Use firebolt when they're knocked down if on cooldown spam magic arrow or melee+smash depending on stamina levels. Again this will knock the enemy down again pretty quickly. Stand there and dont care if the enemy hits you because you absorb it... As you get farther on you actually have to dodge stuff but lann and fiona both have to stop doing damage at certain points... Evie doesn't. So if you're good at being mobile and figure out the rhythm she blasts out pretty much constant DPS... it's sick kind of broken expect it to be nerfed. edit: I solod gnoll chieftain level 9, hard mode wearing the rookie gear and the starting staff with Evie... and it wasnt even that hard. She provided knockdowns with firebolts and the magic arrows so quickly it was amazingly easy. Ohh and she knocked off his helmet too... | ||

If you want to prep your Evie for battle scythes rank your stamina recovery (really important spell for soloing) a few times get your cloth mastery to E or D (if you want to wear Sweetie Bear set which gives better def, str, agil, wil; E is for Broken Ash which gives you better Int which gives you a lot more damage) and start maxing your magic mastery asap. Evie takes a buttload of AP to get her EX skills, so doing a solid build becomes much more important. You really got to choose whether or not you want to go for damage (battle scythe) or more of a support role (staff). Later on she can transform into a Paladin or a Dark Knight which has a one hour cooldown and breaks all your armor on the spot, but gives you 0 cooldown and makes your damage that much better. | ||

While staff Evie is kind of slow, it gets even better than what you're stating once you hit 30 and get the SP: Blind Arrow skill. It only costs 2 SP bars and does a ridiculous amount of damage. A few Fire Bolts on a boss/group of mobs usually almost fills up 2 SP bars, so you can use it somewhat often. She seems kind of powerful at the start but towards the middle of the current level range she gets less impressive and even more slow, but then gets a bump at 30. She's got a lot of powerful attacks but her weakness is not that she's squishy (because her Magic Shield is pretty powerful) but that she's just slower than both Fiona and Lann. This probably will all change tomorrow though with the addition of Scythe, which from the skill list seems amazingly good and will likely be what the majority of Evie players choose. | ||

I don't see how you can't play. official release was on the 27th. It was pretty silent because there weren't really any changes besides adding evie and some content. Everyone keeps their characters etc from closed beta even. | ||
