are you reaper ? or staff ?
reapers needa do damage then blink out while staff evies just need to magic arrow dash around their opponents

Evies hop continuously around him while he keeps spamming his charge smash attack. When he whiffs it, you LLR (if you're a scythe). I assume staff magic arrow cancels.

I started playing this because a friend mentioned it. I have a Fiona on East named Svelumina.
Are there any guides or resources I should check out to get the most out of the game, or is it just smooth sailing?

Here's a fairly comprehensive guide on Fiona. Basically you get infinite AP in this game, though, so it's pretty hard to break your character so bad it becomes unplayable. Most important thing to remember for Fiona is to constantly level up your shield abilities. Your strength will come from your survivability and ability to stun enemies into the ground.

Yargh finding leveling from 36 onward somewhat tough.

There is no such thing as breaking a character as you said. If you grind long enough you will max every skill. Not only that, with a good INT set, max INT and mediation after I think level 10 you will still gain AP even if you aren't logged in the game.
I have to commend Nexon on listening to the fans. Compared to their other games there is great customer support and they make adjusts according to the feedback they get rather quickly.

Yeah hopefully my net doesn't puke on itself during those; it's usually unplayable for me due to Verizon congestion in my evenings T_T
Edit: Can't wait for level 40 for Bloody Threads >_<

Yeah, please don't level meditation. That is probably the worst idea, ever. It takes roughly a full year before you start making an AP net profit. That means thousands of AP down the drain that will never be put to good use for nearly a full year. Leave the skill at rank F.
|
That is a gross exaggeration with how AP works in the game. You might have heard that several places, but I assure you in the NA version it isn't like that.
With that said, no I wouldn't encourage it either. Med should be one of the last skills you rank up.

So I've been trying to get the hang of Heavy Cancel and Sprint Smash as they've been mentioned in the guide that n00bination so helpfully linked.
I'm wondering if I should be able to Sprint at will. So far I've only been able to do what I think is a sprint... seemingly at random after a long period of running around. What I think is sprinting is faster running with a constant stamina drain. Any pro tips would be welcome.

Scythe - wondering whether to bring Smash to 8/7 first, or max Combat or Strength masteries before that. :x
