Dunno how it took me so long to stumble upon this thread, I'll sign up for the guild for sure when I get around to it.
Does anyone here remember the guild Delta Formation [DF] from GW? Top of the GvG ladder for a very long time, gold cape and all...I was their bench mesmer for a few months
We had a bench mesmer?
lol like you were in df scrub(yue sounds like someone who just bought the cape), trying to make other people look bad. I for one remember a ruscour in df, was very strong the times he was able to play.
Please Norada, if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, don't argue it. The reason people like Tyler, Huk, Ret etc. don't post on TL anymore is because bronze players criticize them all the time. I don't want that same thing happening to this thread with GW1 players.
Honestly though, I'm not sure if you're trolling or not.

which video is it(youtube banned), i remember she took many of me ! Also qq forums is banned in china for some reason. So painful reading this thread and other stuff on sites like guru2, cant wait to go in and destroy all the wow and other "pvp elite" kiddies. Will be funny to get all the previous good gw teams on the same server so for wvwvw we can just dominate, good pugs!

zzz
TL only very recently acquired its official SC2 team, Teamliquid is the name of the community site.
Team Legacy has everything to do with that community.

QQ is banned in china because the site promotes and provides a haven for those who to buy and sell in-game items with real world money, with forum categories and all.
It's irony at its finest, considering how hard some members in qq try to pretend that they deserve respect. And it doesnt take anyone more than 5 minutes to visit their forums and see what kind of membership they "foster" there. Once we realized that, and spoke to some others in the upper GW an GW2 community, we decided that is not something we will ever associate ourselves with.
On the other hand, I've received pms from 3 or 4 prominent members there as well, for different reasons, and they show nothing but respect and good dialogue. That goes to show you there are always exceptions to any group. I wish those particular Qq members the best.

I dont even know who you are and I wasnt in QQ which you seem to think I was. Also im sure "3 or 4 prominent members" talk to you, whatever that means. Many different time periods in gw where players were at the top so im not sure who you exactly talked to :D

I apologize then. I misread your post. We've been plagued by QQ trolls lately and I jumped gun.
wow now the trashing goes the other way round -.- whatever just make sure you guys pick different servers so you can beat each other up ingame instead of actually having to work together
QQ isn't banned in China for gold selling. The Great Firewall of China doesn't ban websites for that, they ban websites with political associations. Norad is just unlucky he's at a place with a local ban on certain websites. I was able to access QQ forums most of the times I was in China. I don't know if he's still teaching, but if he is, then the school prob has a ban on categories of sites.
The "membership" that QQ forums foster is different than yours since QQ forums is an open forum. The actual players from QQ who post there are only a handful, and most people who post there nowadays are random people that most of us don't know.
There might be a couple people selling things for real world money, but that hardly makes it a "haven." In either case, as far as I'm concerned, if people are rich or dumb enough to buy stuff obtained without botting or exploitation in the game, I don't see any reason to stop them since it's their own money and we're capitalists anyway.

That's respectable, but doesnt make it right. Whether currently being ran by no-names or not, I hope for the future of QQ they realize how wrong in many respects they allow for the activity of selling/buying game accounts, ingame items etc, will only hurt you.
Not only does it spit in the face of the game developers, it is in violation of the EULA and various other agreements im sure, and as far as the membership, im glad to hear that the majority of those names are new/not known, because they do a disservice to the "old elite forum" that some of my members speak of from the past. I certainly did not experience that (I was freelancer) and was given very much the opposite feel, as well as others. I suppose we can agree to disagree, as we won't meet on these points.
I look forward to fighting you guys/gals in game regardless, because frankly internet forums won't effect my fireball from crit'ing and oneshotting you. <3
That was hilarious, thank you. I so hope djWHEAT gets into GW2 (if it's as good as we're all hoping anyway). Love that guy and everything he does for the community. Kinda wish he was a bit more raw like he is in that ytmnd but anyway still love everything he works on!
Since TL has been my home for freaking forever, I'd like to join legacy when launch starts as well, my only problem is that this next year is my senior year as an undergrad, and it's going to be very busy with taking the GRE and math subject GRE while also trying to do well in my courses. When the game gets closer to a release..I'll be able to make a better decision, no doubt I'll be buying it as soon asd it comes out, I'm just not sure how much of an active guild member I'll be, and hence how useful I'll be.

Sounds great. We encourage all students in the guild to put their priorities first, and no, that doesnt mean theorycrafting
We have a Division 2 for members just like yourself, its gives TL members the freedom to hang out and have a good time with friends, but also a chance to move up to the more organized levels at will.
For example, if you wanted to just hang out with a bunch Team Liquid community members you could do just that, and then if you find yourself itching to try your hand in the competitive field there will be an established division you could be moved to for that as well.
The general idea is to provide an "academy" of sorts, where you have the exposure to the competitive side of things if you find yourself with the itches to play there

internet has nothing to do with my school since i live completely independent from them. i think it has something to do with the name ! Also this guy thinks qq forums = the old guild qq and how they like the people that post on that website, when it's very different from that. It's widely known that qq forums is a pile of shit.
-We have 5-8 members going to Gamescom in Cologne, Germany this year to see the latest and greatest of Guild Wars 2, perhaps including the last class reveal as well. To celebrate, and give them something to drive them with the hard questions, we finalized our first t-shirt model for them to wear to the event. (it will include url on back)
