Double post, sorry. Android browsers hate me.

That's a prefectly valid question Ghost.
Take the chance to read the charter we spent months on (literally, draft after draft with all of the teamliquid members giving their input, voting, and discussions):
Full charter: http://teamlegacy.net/topic/1328-our-common-sense-charter/
To quote specifically what you asked from the charter:
[*]Member Members fall into two distinct categories.
Division 1 "Honor Guard" - Our renowned top-tier group of players, coming from extensive PvP experience, set on making a name in GW2 with TL. This group consists of what a third party would easily assume as our "competitive group" They view our guild more as a brand name than a guild. They're in it to win, and will put full time and dedication to doing as such. These members are expected to set an example in regards to attendance. They are on-time, aware of what's going on around them, and capable of any task assigned to them. They are regarded as the players that do not need but little if any training, and set themselves out to be role models within the guild. In essence, they are the heroes of the legion. They play a large part in creating the reputation of the guild.
Division 2 "Legion" - Division 2 hosts the array of members that consist of what most would consider a "casual guild" but not all members may necessarily be as such. Although not held to the same extreme standards of our professional team, members recruited into this group are still representing our image, and therefore put through many of the same tests and qualifications as a professional team member to make sure they are mature, and wont be a bother to others. They are however, allowed a lot more leniency in terms of attendance and PvP/PvE experience. Although this is considered to be the starting point aside from recruit, members here are no less grouped in the guild among the most experienced players in the server, and should regard themselves with pride. Most members in Division 2, or the "Legion", usually are only there due to attendance less so than skill. Should the time arise and they find themselves capable of the same time availability as Division 1 members, usually with proper display of skill, or by reputation, they may be promoted quickly. Just the same, if a Division 1 member finds himself with other priorities in real-life, and cannot commit to a reliable schedule, they will be temporarily demoted. This is not to be looked down upon, as we always believe real life priorities should always come first.
I hope this helps. When we open up the recruitment section for the more casual players, you (and many others) will hear all about it. We're really just waiting to see the guild size caps, and how guild rankings will fall in GW2.
We are definately looking for more leaders like yourself, especially from different areas of the world (to coincide with timezones). Our EU member base is pretty well rounded, but were lacking in participation from around AU/Asia. I hope you consider joining.

Not to be a hater or something, but i've played gw1 for a long time and know people who played since the release. Still, i barely recognized any names in here, while many people are boasting with their top pvp gw1 experience. Don't try to fake your guild history, all you are doing is leading people astray and the "elite" forum of gw1 got their eyes on here. Still like the initiative to make a big guild though!
Feel free to prove me wrong though, gw-memorial exists as proof and many other places, just say the name of the guy/girl.

We had a bench mesmer?

Ah thanks for the replies. I've lurked around here occasionally but I have never seen this charter before Also my nationality is a bit misleading and I should probably change it. I am South Korean but I live in California, sorry

I stand behind statement fully, which is why we have a team of people that do nothing but "fact-check" the applicants, by reviewing their past and questioning them on TS.
Unfortunately this is the internet, anyone can easily claim to be anyone else, which is why we required experienced members in order to see the true experienced members, if you get what I mean. Most of our guys can instantly notice an individuals name, which is always impressive (I did not come from a GW1 past).
I ask though that if you are questioning someones history please do so in private. Unless they are applying for the guild, we could care less who anyone claims to be, it doesn't effect us. And if they do apply, and you see something fishy (no pun intended), let our other ex-competitive gw players know in private. Together will a little research we can quickly weed out the fabrications.

lol, my bad. Sorry, I honestly couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic. Oops.

Haven't really seen anyone from our guild boast about their guild history. I simply listed statistics of the people we had. Most the people talking about being a former top player aren't in the guild, just discussing.

lol. trying to troll and going unnoticed. shitty :s http://www.teamquitter.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=372731#372731
i'm not all that interested in defending team legacy (not applying), but i find it funny that a random from teamquitter forums is trying to make himself big by trolling this thread.
edit: oh yea that thread might be fun for you guys to read if you haven't already

Well those guys are far too cool to be here.
Anyway, those of you who had an interest in applying but knew you didn't have the time and/or experience to be part of our division 1, I would suggest you all check out the recent recruitment changes posted on the OP and decide if it's something you'd like to be part of. We're very excited to be opening our doors further for new applicants!

Hello! First of all, I tried to find a place to post this in the teamlegacy.net forums but I could not find a suitable thread to post in and I did not feel that this did not warrant its own thread. I have looked into applying for the Division 2 "Auxilia" level but I have a bit of trouble with the application at http://teamlegacy.net/topic/1318-new-applicants-format-found-here-read-first/
I am unable to answer some of these questions because GW2 is the first MMO I intend to play regularly. Therefore, I can't answer questions like "What is your previous guild history and could you explain any reasons why your no longer with them?" unless I answer with "No previous guild history". Another issue is that I will be headed to college soon so some of my answers be wildly inaccurate for questions such as "Please give us your availability schedule." and "Speedtest Internet Connection Results".
I've heard about applications like this one in online games for competitive guilds, but from what I understand, this second division will be composed completely of casual/entry level players only bound together by the TeamLiquid community. Are there any plans for a separate application for the lower level community because I feel that this current one is too specific in questions for which I have no answer to. It would not be impossible to fill out the application, but I feel some of these questions are unnecessary for the entry level division. Again, it is entirely possible to apply the same way as everyone else but I feel the answers will be too... unimpressive for a guild the caliber of TeamLegacy.
If there is already a separate application or some other rule involving division 2 applicants that I missed, I apologize, but I searched both this thread and the teamlegacy.net website for some information and I did not find any. Thanks for your time!

Those were general questions aimed at the members we recruited for future arena teams. They have a solid base, and we felt were required to cross check applications.
As for the more recent openings, regarding entry level, we still feel entry level is something much higher than your average joe, lest we lose the quality of our current membership.
In your case ghost, id ask you answer the questions to the best of your ability, even if they do not necessarily pertain to your experience.
We have high (sometimes unnerving to some) requirements, because if we didn't, we would end up with a mass zerg guild of nonames, and trolls. Quality is everything.
I hope you understand and stay positive.

That was a fun read, thanks I haven't hung out on TQ in quite some time. I recognize a few names from that thread, its good to see they're still active and having a good time. I wouldn't bash the entire group/forum too much for attempting to troll, some of them are actually very decent individuals.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll definitely be applying for a position in the guild but I feel a bit nervous applying to a guild that requires so much when I seemingly have nothing to offer it. Regardless, I will still send in an application and hope I get in the guild.
