Anyone tested other races and know what their dances are related to?

Human - Party Rock Anthem dance Charr - Haka Norn - The Carlton Sylvari - Bollywood/Bhangra style dance From a reddit post. I like the sylvari one, although the charr would look pretty cool in a large synchronised group.

It's so nice to have combat where I can move, dodge and attack whenever I want. Whether I want to swing my sword for no reason i can and I can dodge my opponents moves. Idk just awesome to me makes it a lot more fun but to each his own.

Does it simply make you immortal for the duration regardless of which way you dodge or is it more like actual dodging projectiles/weapon swings or something.

So if you say roll into a sword blow you will be hurt, but if you roll away it's dodged. Same with projectiles iirc. there's no invincible with it or anything as you can dodge into another enemy and be hit. In the first BWE (last time I played). I was in a boss fight in one of the main missions and it was fun having to legitimately dodge and attack. If you just tried to attack and not dodge you'd die so fast lol.

You'll probably prefer RaiderZ combat then, it's like monster hunter. Every attack is controlled and dodging is far more responsive than GW2.

Well idk what raiderz is but I was more meaning in an MMO it's very nice. That's the one thing I have always hated about mmo's is the combat was somewhat boring. (ah found out it was an mmo raiderZ). I also like the guildwars world and no monthly fee is nice :D

A few questions (based on your experience on GW1): - How is catchup leveling like? - What are the strengths of the game? PvP experience or PvE? I'll probably ask more as people get to experience more of the game "Leveling is pretty easy so don't worry about it. Your friends can always come and level with you, they're brought down to the level of the area you're in, they still get xp/loot. So there's really no excuse to not hook up with your poor lowbie friends in this game! The PvE is different, I like it. But if you're expecting to have like 2013980128412983190 raid zones you're playing the wrong game. It's definitely a PvP focused game, but the PvE is fun with the combat." Mostly this but I disagree on the last sentence. GW2 (and also GW1 wasn't) is NOT a PvP focused game. The PvE content is just different from other mmo's. It is all about exploring, playing a personal story, having fun with a dynamic world (events etc.) and has just little raid-content (I see the dungeons as raid content while others will disagree on that) compared to other mmo's. The PvE content is more a single-player-RPG-type of content with the difference that it is dynamic and open world.

All those dances look almost as ridiculous as the GW1 male elementalist dance...

Right now it looks like Ehmry Bay for our guild, but I'll check again tomorrow afternoon sometime (PDT) and see the final vote. Obviously if you want to play on another world but still join my (our) guild that's fine. As far as guild name goes I liked the suggestion of "Winged Horses". "Liquid Factory" is ok too. I didn't really like the other suggestions much but perhaps you can convince me if you want :p Other ideas are still welcome.
