This was just posted on their website last night.:
We love New York, so we’re packing our bags and flying out to the New York City Comic Con, which runs from October 8-10 at the Javits Center. We’ve planned some interesting panel discussions at NYCC and a Friday night fan party that will include the East Coast premiere of the Guild Wars 2 demo!
Come party with us on Friday night, October 8, at the NCsoft Meet and Greet! Hang out with ArenaNet and NCsoft devs and get your hands on the Guild Wars 2 demo. Yes, we’ll have a few demo stations at the party, so you’ll definitely want to attend! We’ll have more details about our NYCC party soon, so stay tuned for more information.
On Saturday, October 9 at 1:30PM, lead ArenaNet designers Eric Flannum and Colin Johanson will present a panel discussion, Guild Wars 2: Building a Better MMO, which goes behind the scenes of our game design process. At 5:15PM we’ll be participating in MMORPG.com’s panel discussion, The Future of Online Gaming. Both of these events take place in Panel Room 6, so be sure to pick up a NYCC pass if you’d like to attend.
See you in New York!
Doesnt sound like they will be releasing any new info, but if your int he New York area you have your chance.

Although I disagree on 3 warriors being hard(er) to play than a standard build. Well, normally I'd agree that 3 warrior is super easy pressure, but with how the healers boon/heal party flaggers are these days, it's ridiculously hard to actually pressure (with any pressure builds, not only 3 war).. 3 war builds are played way more as just a flagger pushing build these days. :p If you don't pressure their flagger you aren't ever going to pressure them at all, it's pretty silly haha. Did they ever fix the WoWarding "bug" 50% block my ass one time I tested it with a friend and it blocked 85% attacks over 15 minutes of trials spamming it whenever it was up...
I think they nerfed the duration on it awhile back, but rits aren't really run that much anymore anyway because monk runners with healers boon/heal party are so much better for anti-pressure.

Really excited for this game. Not a member of the guild though. Looks like some cool stuff is going on though. This game needs to come out now!!

Stoked like crazy for this game
Stoked like crazy for costume brawl 2010
Stoked like crazy for Wintersday 2010
I used to play this game religiously for a while, but now I'll only log on for the festivities and play it to death. I'll log in a few hundred hours into the costume brawl. Last year I had about 10 stacks of ToT bags.

Costume brawl was and always is the most fun PVP event ever.
Wintersday was meh, but a nice change of pace nontheless.
|
Is it me or the forum is down D:
|
It's down, was up a few minutes ago though. Probably wont last.
Edit: speak of the devil..
|
This sounds pretty sweet. I'd like to be added to the list, please.

No wait, we met ingame and then became rl buddies... That's sort of weird.

Stupid thing keeps giving mysql errors. I can only imagine the growing pains TL went through.

Drool?
The most prominent features for mobile and web users will probably stem from the ability to stay connected to the game world and, more importantly, your friends and guildies. We’ll be doing as much as we can to remove the communication barrier that exists between in-game players and out-of-game players. How many times have you been away from your computer on raid night and wished you could connect up with your guild, monitor their progress, share your insights, and ultimately share in their victory? The ability to socialize beyond the game boundaries is essential, and it’s one of the first things we’re working on. Naturally, security and the protection of personal information are of paramount importance with social features like this. With the broader possibilities for communication, we want to ensure people are always in control of who talks to them and when.

Wow, that is going to add a new definition to someone who has no-life.
In a good way...
.
Well, good for the no-lifer, anyway
I can't wait till ArenaNet tells us about the new classes, especially ones that weren't in previous games.
|
how do i confirm as a guild member?
|
I might actually try this, though I haven't played many MMOs, nor I like them, but it looks really promising.

I hard that EVE online had soemthing like this too, but not this detailed. They mentioned in the article that there are very few players who play the game just for the economic aspect/auction house. I played EVE for that very thing
Hopefully they incorporate some sort of auction house system in the third party apps. Id be in heaven.
And I would imagine well be hearing about another class very soon. According to how often theyve released past info.

The mobile functions is what I'm most looking forward to with the release of Guild Wars 2.
Calling people on the spot, watching their progress, engaging in-game, and etc will be helpful espically for people who work and the leaders when they are out-of-game.
|
I always wanted to get into the original. I have always wnated to get into an MMO in general, but the monthly fees were always a deterrent for me. I will give Guild Wars 2 a shot, count me in as part of the Guild. I will probably go either Monk or Necromancer because those are my favorite fantasy classes/professions. I know the Monk hasn't been anounced yet, however I think it is rather likely that he will show up.
Have you guys heard anything about the Monk being included or not?
|
So, it's starting to seem like I'm going to need to get both an iPhone AND an iPad by the time the game is released. I see myself using the hell out of these applications like AH or something else productive while I'm at work. I was just joking around the other day saying it would be funny to be able to keep up with people while you aren't in game and yell at them for something ... and now it's possible!
|
count me in on the guild, I can't wait for this game. And the people who you play with are what make the game amazing so kudos to TL for getting this together
|
We could use more people on the forums commenting and giving a piece of their mind in the many discussions we have going on at the site right now.
Even if there are those who are unsure about the game or the guild, if you have at least SOME interest please go ahead and get yourselves to the forums. Guild standards, rules, and etc need to be finalized and it would be great to have people coming in and reading things being discussed.
Also the discussions and theories about the game and the guild always pop up, and might help ease people's minds on weather they want to get the game or not...or join the guild or not.
Participate and see if you like it! It will help everyone make a decision quicker
