![]() What bothers me are the res stones, but only if they're usable in explorable mode dungeons. I don't understand all the talk about bags though. Coming from WoW I think of bags as several empty slots that eventually fill with bags of ever increasing sizes. Is the gw system different?

I just added the underlined part and it still is the same. This, and especially the wow flowchart is marketing blabla, maybe even marketing blabla bz fanboys. I am not bashing goldselling and I am not bashing GW2, since I am happy when it comes out, but these kind of marketing lies get on my nerves. You obviously haven't played GW1. All end game gear has the same stats. You can get ordinary endgame gear very cheap and easily. If you want cool looking shit you will need lots of gold or gems. So no, there is no "unfair advantage" to people buying gold unless you consider looking cooler an unfair advantage. On the other-hand, in WoW, if you buy gold you buy gear that has BETTER stats and thus get an unfair advantage.

In wow you cant come anywhere near end game gear with good stats by buying it with gold. You have to be in a top tier raiding guild, run heroic instances like all the time to get decent epics, or be really good at arena pvp. The items that you make or drop in the world suck. you can make some starter blue gear and bad epics. where are u getting your info/

Heck, even achievement runs were done at end of Wrath. 5k per raider for LK 10 HC achi..yea been there done that. Buy some gear on the same run, why not! Yes, you can buy high end power in wow with gold, and you can buy gold. edit: and when I sawy been there done that, I been selling them runs and drops from the runs. 40-100k for a full HC clear in ICC for example

I vote for first option. At least developers have some motivation to keep game economy in proper health.

That is definitely end game gear seeing as the only tier above that is endgame heroic gear. Do you even play WoW? You don't think there are good BoE drops or craftable items? http://www.wowhead.com/items?filter=qu=4;cr=3;crs=1;crv=0#0-2 1 theres a list for you. Definitley not "starter blue gear" and "bad epics".

![]() played eve a lot the last year so i know this system pretty well. think of it this way: you dont buy gold with real money but actually you are paying another player for the time he spent in the game earning the gold that you in the end can spend on vanity items. its not like arenanet is magicly creating gold from air (if its like eve) when you spend real money. its always a direct trade of time=money with another player while arenanet is the handler.

This is the key point. Buying gold from devs for money is bad because it floods the system with gold. Buying gems then trading them can only ever move money around. If ArenaNet didn't have this gem system you'd just have people buying gold from 3rd parties for money. Why is it every time a developer sidesteps a 3rd party to create the EXACT SAME GAME that would exist anyways (except without as much gold seller spam) people freak out?

Not to mention, we've seen that it's effective with PLEX.

PvP is nice, but I don't get the link between PvP and PvE. Why should I level from 1-80 if I can create a char join PvP with Level1 and get a Level80 Char with Full PvP Set. it's probably made this way because it's beta so that you can test pvp the way it should be, it's pointless if there's beta and you can't get to any pvp simply because of the time limit

And to answer your question, if you only want to play PvP why should you have to PvE and level a guy from 1-80?
