Having followed SWTOR for over a year, and just recently getting into GW2, it blows my mind how much more polished, complex and fun GW2 looks. The pvp system sounds like it will be amazing as long as they don't have some major fuck up. The pve system has so much content there is no way you'll run out of stuff to do while leveling. Can't wait. From what I gathered the teleport pads cost a fee to use? So there should be a use for mounts.

Keep in mind that there is also a sheathed running mode, where simply sheathing your weapon will make you a tad faster. The char for example can be seen running on all 4's. The humans seem to look like theyre dashing. From what the majority have said, were talking minor 5% or 10% increase in speed, if that.

Go check it out, it was turning out to be a decent game (with very impressive trailers) but recently has been plagued with technical issues and crashing on its booths at gamescom and PAX. I dont doubt the fans will swarm it, but for most, the whole sci-fi appeal can better be satisfied with EVE online.

I'm pretty sure every MMO that's come out since 2004 has been hyped as a WoW killer. Warhammer? Not quite. Aion? Not even close. The only reason guild wars was so good was because it wasn't trying to compete with WoW, it just did its own thing. I really hope GW2 doesn't try to take on WoW, I hope it just goes in its own direction. If I wanted to play a game like WoW, I'd still be playing it.

But in GW1 you could play cross-region. They were called "districts" You could play in the international district to play with other people from like EU and Asia.
