I'm up 16 with my opponent having drew brees and saints D to play. What do you think the chances are that Drew Brees has a mild stroke between now and 8:30 tomorrow? I've determined that's my only chance of victory.

I'm really torn on what to do at QB next week. Try to get Josh Freeman, or hope that Bret Favre pulls his head out of his ass... But Freeman plays PIT next week. I currently have Vick and Favre. So do I play Vick, even though he's not starting? I think he'll be in by 2nd Q, but idk. Ugh, I hate having QB issues. Other spots are so much easier to deal with, imo.

Especially against the same shitty Detroit defense that made Vick look good. Speaking of that overrated dickbag! http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Michael-Vick-sparkles-again-promptly-gets-bench;_ylt=AhbgNb2OLubJIOesOt5eBk3TrYZ4?urn=nfl-270843#comments I'm really tempted to see if MJD had the same dumb, knee-jerk reaction when Kolb came in and threw for over 300 in consecutive weeks last year. I still don't understand how Vick is the only person in the NFL to which his career averages aren't considered when gauging how good he is... play him in 16 and he'll go right back to his old self, sub 55% completion, 200yards or less a game with a couple turnovers. Kolb may have set a record through for the fastest acension and fall from fame. Two games to become anointed the savior of the franchise, and one to toss it all away. Did you guys see any of the kickoff trickery plays yesterday?? The steelers had a beauty with a normal wedge return that flipped into a reverse for a TD. The Titans got revenge with a stutter step onsides. The kicker faked one way, turned and put it down the middle.

As much as I hate the majority of rules in my league, that's the one that I absolutely love... after division winners, and next best record, it goes to highest points. This year could be different, because we have 12 teams and 3 divisions. I always thought that rule was really nice, because that's not all that rare for a team, that is clearly the best team, to get unlucky and play highest points week after week. The H2H record is nothing more than luck, but the total points scored really shows how well you picked your team, and played your roster. Honestly, I think it's more Favre looking like ass. He has been making piss poor decisions, and his per pass average is over a yard and a half less than last year. It's on par with his worst statistical years in 93-94, 05-06, 06-07. His completion % is way down as well. Naturally, Favre fanboys are blaming everyone else. Seriously, football media is the fucking worst. If the media likes you, it takes at least a full season of sucking for people to blame you (Favre), but one good game to wipe away a history of mediocrity (Vick) Does Favre need to post a 0.0 rating for people to blame him?? He's too lazy to show up to camp. AP racks up over 100 total yards in game 1 and just under 2 in week two, so it's not like Ds are keying in on Brett. The defense doesn't allow more 14 points, so it's not as if he has to be whipping the ball around the field in a comeback bid. Harvin and Berrian isn't a great tandem, but when you combine that with a top 2 RB, a very good TE and a supposed all-pro QB, that shouldn't be an issue but it is.

Harvin went out early in that game, and also had a ball go right off his shoulder, then kicked it into the arms of a defender. They win the game with that TD. That's why it's so easy to blame others, because he made the one play that needed to be made. Further, had Childress not been a dipshit, realized his D was owning the Dolphins (btw, they allowed 7 points, not 14, 7 was off a defensive TD for Miami), and kicked the FG instead of going for it on 4th at the 2, they would have had a game winning FG. Favre made a lot of mistakes, but he's hardly entirely to blame for that loss.

Good old Brett is just having fun out there you know! At least we don't have Tony Kornheiser on MNF anymore constantly gushing about the guy to the point where they had his wife come into the booth and recite a poem about him in the middle of a close game. Seriously even I have to verify that I'm not making this shit up every time I think about the coverage Favre gets.

It goes without saying that I blame Childress at least partially for all errors on that team =] I am utterly convinced he is a bottom 1/3rd coach without a doubt. He's def #2 in terms of fault for the game, but I think it's pretty impossible to finger anyone but Favre for #1 for that loss. I think he forgot to play with his good luck horseshoe up his ass this week, because he finally got punished for all those terrible decisions he makes on a weekly basis. Seriously, all of last season I was waiting for the correction on his wildly risky play. No one takes more risks than him, and I swear that motherfucker is the luckiest guy in the game at times.

Maclin adds like... nothing to your team. Floyd will likely develop into SD's #1 WR. Boldin is the #1 in Baltimore, and there's no reason to freak out, after they played two tough teams, and think that his season won't turn around (although Flacco does suck a rather large dick). You have the upper hand in this deal, absolutely. Seriously... Maclin is the #2 on a team that can't pass, which makes him equivalent to a number 4. Yeah, okay... I'll agree to that. Back on Vick for a second. Someone on my FB f/list just posted "dear michael vick, even if philly doesn't let you start...the last 2 games you've sent out a resume to other teams in the NFL that could use your services....we knew you still had!!! see you in minnesota next year!!! " So I told him he was garbage. When he said he wasn't gonna waste his air because I'm a Broncos fan (jokingly, of course), and some dumb broad came in agreeing with him... I copy/pasted all of our arguments against Vick into his status. Hahaha, TAKE THAT VICK LOVERS! I hate when people who know less than me about a given subject tell me that I'm wrong.
