I think you answered your own question.
Key word: Panthers.

^ This, although following the trend with QBs in Miami I can see them picking up VY and drafting one in the upcoming draft in the 1st or second round since it's pretty deep. I just hope they don't go for Cam Newton. I would much prefer they go with Mallet or Locker at their spot. Maybe Cam if he happens to fall to them in the third(I personally believe he's a late second at best but what the hell do I know).
And About the whole Harbaugh thing. I think Miami should keep Sparano there to run the offense and bring Harbaugh in to run the show. I really hope this is the reason they haven't fired Sparano yet. I find him to be a great coach and I think without Parcells there to tell him what to do he started micromanaging too much and lost focus on his game plans(Like what Ricky said in his recent interview).
Also I feel Miami should attempt to retain Ricky Williams if he'll stay. If he'll stay is the big question. He seems fed up with he system and coaching there. The draft a RB in the early rounds.

Ricky is getting really up their in age. Hell Ronnie is 29 now...

I really hope that Harbaugh stays. Props to Luck for staying and finishing up his education.

So luck is saying that he is going to stay for two more years? Because he's going into his junior year this year. Maybe he's not a true junior though? I don't know. I tend to think it's more of career decision, because who the fuck would want to go to Carolina right now? They're so bad, it's ridiculous. I'm convinced that was why Bradford decided to stay in college when the Lions were the #1 team.

he's going to be a red shirt Junior next year and said he plans on finishing his degree in architecture first.

Then he missed the entire senior season. lolol

Dumb decision imo. With the rookie wage cap going into the CBA Luck could lose over 30mil guaranteed, and even then he could lose more even if falls in the draft. With that said, even if he REALLY didn't want to play in Carolina he could go the Eli Manning route and get traded to another team.
With what's being reported around the news vine, it is really pathetic of the new Dolphins management to actively court Harbaugh and still have Sparano as their head coach, not to mention basically giving a middle finger to the Rooney Rule. Dolphin fans should be embarrassed with the total lack of respect being shown for its coaching staff and players.

It's gonna be really funny when someone gets suckered into thinking VY will be anything other than a guy who should have just been a backup from the get go. Not as fast as Vick and as mediocre as a passer (worse even—Vick can at least launch a deep ball)
Someone will give him a chance though because of the completely unearned just win title

Everyone should give the finger to the Rooney Rule. What a stupid joke. I assume the Cowboys had to interview a black person before hiring Garrett, even though they've known he would be the coach since mid season? Or do you not have to if it's a promotion or something?
Either way, it's a very stupid rule.

Bradford still got pick 1st though by the rams so maybe it wont be that bad especially as its carolina, probably cost him alot of money though lol, sort of a gamble he could still end up at a team he doesnt want to be at but $million's down but with a degree lol. Which to be fair the amount he is probably loosing from this one season is probably more than someone with whatever degree he is doing would expect to earn in probably a career lol.
Da'Quan Bowers is probably crying right now though lol.

He has won a lot of games, but for whatever reason, when Fischer puts Collins in, he decides to throw a lot. On the other hand, CJ gets like 25+ carries with VY in the game. Fischer is so dumb. I'm still mad at him for his play calling at the end of the season.

It's a matter of personal pride, in getting the degree. He's going to play football.

While I personally don't believe the Rooney Rule is relevant to today's NFL, I still think the new owner should follow NFL procedure. He is in a highly criticized position and to start his ownership off on a note like that simply cannot be good for PR.

They could legitimately look at Perry Fewell, too. I thought he deserved the job in Buffalo, and he made the Giants D look legit again, so who knows where he could take a team. I know the Broncos are interested in Fewell, which I think would be an excellent hire.

I think he has potential to be a much better passer than Vick. His decision making is better, and he looks down field when he's trying to pass. He's played a lot better over the last two year than he did at the beginning of his career. Whats more is he's improving in the areas that he needed to if he was going to become an effective passer. He was fairly effective when he was in the game, which is enough to make him a viable QB for the right team.
Of course he'll probably get way over-payed, go to some shit team that thinks they're a few pieces away, stop developing completely, and flame out in about 3 years. Though the right coach I think he could develop into a pretty good QB, unfortunately Fisher was probably the right coach, and he managed to drive him crazy with his personal bullshit.

Maybe Luck stayed because he thinks he can get Harbaugh to come back for his senior season (lol)

If Stanford offers him enough money, why wouldn't he go back?

I'm convinced that was why Bradford decided to stay in college when the Lions were the #1 team. The #1 pick is always the worst team. The NFL is a league of change, the Panthers will not be the worst team in a year or two from now so it doesn't really matter where you get drafted.
If you look at a history of #1 picks the last 10 years you'll notice a trend: 2001 - Michael Vick, had success in Atlanta, both Vick and Atlanta have success now. 2002 - David Carr, bad pick Texans as an expansion team don't improve much. 2003 - Carson Palmer, pro bowl quarterback, Bengals success with Palmer and even swept the division last year. 2004 - Eli Manning, drafted by SD and traded to New York, both teams successful in the next few years with Manning even getting a Super Bowl. 2005 - Alex Smith, wrong pick but he's not that bad, the 49ers were starting to look up last year until they messed up this season. 2006 - Mario Williams, controversial pick for Houston but they stopped being one of the worst teams in the league after that and Williams is really good. 2007 - JaMarcus Russel, total bust but somehow the Raiders are recovering and swept the division this year. 2008 - Jake Long, the Dolphins almost lost all 16 games the year before and were considered one of the worst teams in history and the very next year they win the tough AFC East. 2009 - Matthew Stafford, probably their franchise quarterback, all he needs to do is stop getting injured, there is a lot of talent on this team now and they are improving. 2010 - Sam Bradford, go from 1-15 to almost winning the division the next year, appears to be franchise quarterback.
So the Panthers will probably be good or at least decent within a few years, they still have two great running backs on their roster and they can definitely be much better next year.

I think that the Dolphins would offer him more than Stanford and San Francisco could/will. We'll just have to see if he's a greedy douche that goes after money (like Nick Saban), or if he actually wants to win with a college team. Ultimately, I hope he stays at Stanford.
|
Why do all college coaches that go to the pros have to be greedy douches? Some people want the challenge of winning in the NFL to some extent. So few coaches have succeeded in the jump from college to pro, once you have a decent level of success in the college ranks there's only 1 more place to try
