EPTI really don't think Manning can get passed all the injuries that have plagued them, although at least their run D is looking better as is their run game so who knows.

The eagles have 3 plays that work: deep bomb, michael vick scramble, and screens They have absolutely no intermediate game, they can't go over the middle, and they easily could but never establish the run. mccoy is averages like 5.6 ypc and they never pound the ball with him. Admittedly he's a smaller back, and chances are he's rushing against nickle defenses most of the time, but still COME ON REID I just wish for once they'd find a receiver that was 6'3 that could go over the middle and not get obliterated | ||

The dude loves just launching it while totally off balance because he has some insane wrist release or something. Helps that Jackson can run under anything too. but yeah, i think the plays that work is more because of Vick's skillset than play calling. The iggles threw all over when McNabb was there. Those three things are what Vick is best at. His accuracy this year is inflated as hell because of the screens. He's definitely gotten better, but it's not like the dude is or has even been particularly accurate. His weapons were always his amazing arm strength and his speed. I dont even know about mccoy, because i really cant even think of a time that ive seen them clearly just pound the ball since he's been there... or ever really. NOT SINCE DEUCE. | ||

Dang I forgot, but Manning is making rookies like Blair White look good. Although that White is smaller and slower he still a pretty nice route runner. The Vikings were a perfect team against the Eagles because their D-line is so dangerous making Vick think about scrambling and as we saw yesterday, they managed to hit the hell out of him, making his decisions poor. The Giants also had the same game plan, but late game they stopped sending in the blitzes scared of Vick and the beautiful punt return destroyed them. I'm not sure who the eagle will play in the playoffs but if they play the Saints or Packers, i think they will lose because they have a mediocre defense and won't stop rodgers or brees. Also, the Vikings shut down Desean Jackson. He was thrown to 12 times but only caught 2. 1 was intercepted and 3 were easy picks dropped by the defense. Go Colts | ||
