signed up at beta and playing still. but lately ive been getting real frustrated by the matchmaking. In beta i only played with TD's but now im exploring the russian heavy and german medium tree. currently on thier 4 with them and i am getting in impossible games. i don't know why i never get in a match where i am the highest thier tank on the field. my thier 4 against thier 8-9 its just silly. Seems my role is a scout but 200 spot xp on a good run per game is terrible chore and not fun.
Q.Q
Is it that i got really good stat's on my TD ?

I'm currently driving an IS-4 (Tier 9 Soviet Heavy) and I'm still having a blast after all these months. WoT can be frustrating at times, but it is very rewarding when you get to the top and start participating in clan wars.

Thus, if your vehicle is in the range of the battle tier spread of these tiers, it will likely face them.

Just started playing this game about 2 weeks ago. I'm surprised how addicting this game is, almost up to my object 704 already.
Any TLers in a decent clan? I really want to join a good clan for clan wars but i'm not really sure how to go about getting in to a decent one.

tank destroyers have no use in clanwars or on global map

Also care to elaborate on why TD's aren't used in CWs? Is it just because you're better off with a t10 heavy in their spot?

Ultra heavy tank destroyers (T95's) are sometimes used in CW for special cases, Bat Chats are currently the most popular medium tank, and the rest of the team is usually composed of tier 10 heavy tanks (excluding the T30), and tier 8 SPGs.

what tanks do you feel are good for random games? i will probably never see a cw again since lack of time but i started playing again. options are e50 (got panther 2 but no money to buy it) / t54 (got t43) / french tanks (t6/ t5 but i dont like the "no armor thing" that much) / maus (got tiger p :S)
i hate playing my is 7 / e100(that thing especially,it got so many weakspots..wtf) / patton / t30 in random games for obvious (no armor) reasons.
edit : also since i dont buy premium anymore .. is there a better (no money involved) combination than löwe / pzIV for making credits?
|
KV > Pz4 when it comes to credit earning.
AMX 13 75 and 13 90, Lorraine and many others are good credits earners, too. I guess you own a T34. If not, buy one. It will become premium with the next patch, if it stands in your garage. That will boost the credit earning, too.
Your question is difficult to answer, since you did not note what you prefer to have. Credits, high average experience? Armour, mobility, firepower, stealth, an easy matchmaking, high tier, low tier?
edit: 7.2 should come in March. If you have your T30 and T34 in your garage, they will be substituted and you earn a garage slot, a new free tank and crew.
The M18 Hellcat will probably also be introduced, but it has paper thin armour, too.

oh yeah i heard of that t34 thing and also farmed mine back and bought 1.
im just looking for a fun t9/10 tank in random games - i dont really like the patton tho since it has no armor and no camo so i guess its between t54,e50,batchat :S
id use e50 since i already have a panther 2 but i fear it doesnt have good armor and is just a weak heavy

Usually you will see 3-4 artilleries, 3-4 medium + light tanks and other are heavy tanks (mostly is-7 or t30). I think tank destroyers aren't popular in clan wars, because they don't have turret and it is kinda hard to shoot from the covers, since you gotta turn around whole tank.

Everything has its use, and can do well. However the is-7 sets bar pretty damn high, and compared to that, pretty much everything is shit.
As for tank destroyers, the t95 is pretty cool on some maps. That frontal armor makes it perfect for slowly pushing down a closed linear space. The other td's seem out of place though. Especially the jagdtiger which is all in all garbage.

I totally agree with you: different map - different setups. I just described the common one

Hi, I'm just downloading this game for the first time. Do any of you have tips for a noob? I'd prefer not to be completely clueless XD

Well imo, take a look at tech tree and decide what you wanna have one day :D don't be like me constantly selling and buying tanks, but my advice to you is to go for German SPG's :D and maybe some heavy tank, depends :D

Wargaming.net is making a nice profit, monthly, on World of Tanks
Free-to-play MMO World of Tanks is generating "double digit" million dollar profits a month, according to Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi.
As the game has grown to reach over 20 million registered users, developer Wargaming.net has scaled with it - 18 months ago the business consisted of 120 employees primarily based in Minsk. Today it is approaching 800 staff around the globe.
"If you count the last year and a half, we might be the fastest growing company ever, headcount wise and revenue wise," Kislyi told GamesIndustry International. "When you see the numbers of Twitter, Facebook or even Google for a year and half we probably outperformed them."
Of the 20 million registered users, Kislyi is proud of the number of players actually paying for content in the game - figures that are among the highest for any free-to-play title.
"We probably have one of the highest payment ratios in the industry, it's around 25-30 per cent," he revealed. "Because people love the game."

I played this a little bit, but quit a month ago. I got myself a Ferdinand tier 8 tank destroyer, and several other medium and light tanks for other nations. I quite like the upgraded Ferdinand, but getting there was hell. So now I don't wanna start the grind to the jagdtiger.
The game is just based too heavily around profits in my opinion, and that makes it boring in the long run.

My thoughts exactly, it was fun but too long to grind. Without the premium account the game is unplayable.

As long as the money is being put to good use i.e. World of Battleships.
