a) Don't post about anything related to the server in this thread. Post it in the "Team Liquid Minecraft Server" thread. I don't really read this one, as it's for general discussion of the game.
b) PM me for whitelist access. I get like 40 PMs a day, and it's so much easier if I can just add people from there instead of having to comb through a bunch of replys in two different threads trying to find people.
Or you could just use the "upload image" function and make it all good. Everyone should start getting this reflex so that the threads with images become nice again. ^^
So, inspired by the image a few pages back, i decided to make something round with that lake/plant stuff inside cause it looks pretty. So i decided to make a big ball (only around have the size of their thingy, but with a roof instead). Wrote a little script to make me a plan for building a nice ball, script said "you're gonna need almost 18000 blocks". So i went along and started building, took around 12 hours for the outer hull only. i've been working on the interior for about two days now, and it's growing to be pretty.
About half the interior on the low level is still undesigned, so its still work in progress. but it looks pretty already and i'm currently running a little low on ideas as i don't want to to just the same i did on another wall already again. So since building is not really moving on right now, i thought i'd share the screens of what i've done so far.
lol this game is so weird, So I build my house on top of a mountain out of clay ( w/e the brown stuff is called ) and then I go outside my door to try and kill the skeleton thats humping the outside, the kid explodes and tears apart half of my house, next second an archer kills me with an arrow from inside the house.

Awww, how cute. A kid and his first meeting with a creeper!
Don't worry, you'll get very well aquainted with them before long!

That is awsome. I like how you did those chairs. I think I will steal that idea.
Gosh such a fun game, I really hope they sort out the multiplayer side... invinsible player and mobs, sound bugs, walking on water while actually in a boat etc.
Get it working please!!
LOL this trailer
Most epic shit i've ever seen for a 8bit video game :D

Don't fret, the game is still in alpha! (And already this popular). The designer has some time to improve everything :D Oh, and easily one of the best game trailers I've ever seen.
I made a biodome on my single player save, since I had so much material saved up, 3 (small) chests of stone, 3 of dirt, a bit more than that of glass, about 8 hours of construction (without gathering the materials)
Also, for those that don't know how to get skins (aka, me until I thought of one I wanted), there's a few ways to get one. The "official" way, I think, uses the actual website. First you need to find a skin that you like and save it to your harddrive. Minecraftskins.com has a ton. Scroll down to the bottom and it'll add the next set for you to scroll through. All sorts of good stuff there. Once you've done that go to the main site (minecraft.net), login with your standard username/password and then click on preferences up top. Then you simply hit "Choose File," find it on your computer, and then "Upload Image."
I believe there's also a way to do it without using the website by tweaking the files on your computer, but I haven't felt a need to get that fancy yet as I don't mind the default world skin.
Today an article was posted on a swedish newspaper about the creator of Minecraft, Markus Persson, 31 years old.
In one month only (september) he made $2,416,443 from people buying the game... it's insane! And he is really careful with his money, not going out buying any stupid stuff. He recently flew to US to talk with Valve but he turned them down. He is forming his own company and they will be continuing with the Minecraft project as well as creating another game.
402 157 people had bought the game when they wrote the article.
The article itself is not that interesting so I just picked the most interesting bits and described them above, I could translate it if anyone is interested though.
