he's streaming it at www.livestream.com/andrewminecraft i'm watching and trying to give pointers but i'm no pro. if any of you want to jump on the stream and check out our attempts at a pit that will kill mobs and funnel the goods to a drop-off point, or give pointers, come on by :3 | ||

From what I can tell it pretty much has no direction/goals? You just build stuff? And how does multiplayer work out (what's the difference if all I do is build my own forts and things)? | ||

It's pretty much just legos, with a few extra features like a crafting system and monsters. For the price, you can't really go wrong, even if you only play it for a few days. But it's in alpha, and constantly updating, so you'd probably come back to it anyway with each new update. As for multiplayer, it's pretty much the same as single player, but online. You can generally get more done because people can work together on projects. Multiplayer is free, so there's no reason not to at least try it once. If it's not your thing, there's no real loss. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=157898 is the TL server, but there are hundreds of other servers out there you can check out, too. I would play single player for a few days to get the basic gameplay down, then try multiplayer. | ||
