You can change the compatibility can't you? Are you running Vista or Windows 7? Just right click the executable, properties, compatibility tab and change it to something like Windows XP service pack 2. See if that works.

I played demo on steam. Then pirated it and my concsience got better of me. Today I bought it because: 1. Game is extremely good - captivating, atmospheric, great story telling, amazing scares, scariest game I played in years since Silent Hill 1, I guess. 2. It's cheap - price/value ratio is insane here, it's like a free giveaway. 3. Unordinary and refreshing. 4. Hear different rumors about how weak the sales were and how team had to cut their wages.. blah that sucks, the game is built on complete enthusiasm and dedication of people working on it, just listen to audio commentary while playing (Half Life 2 style). I really recommend to anyone. At least try out the demo, this is a game you have to play, a game which is going to be remembered and talked about.

But in this game you are HELPLESS, you don't have guns, magic powers, or travel across super natural planes. You wander in the dark, helpless and alone, nothing can save you, maybe you can run for while, but you're going to die. At least that's how the game feels. The sheer helplessness makes Undying look like Lego Indie in comparison, and there is always the dreaded fear that the oil in your lamp will run out before you solve the latest puzzle and THEN ONLY DARKNESS AND INSANITY AWAITS MUAAHAHAHA. Yeah, it's pretty awesome. On September 27 2010 05:30 Osmoses wrote: I just got this game. I stopped playing right after the water thing, I needed a break ^^ Yeah, that also scared me too much to continue.
