OK so I've played a bit more. I'm in the dungeons now. There's a monster that's patrolling the hallways, all the time. It's very, very hard to know where it is. Suddenly it's right in your face, you piss your pants, and then you run, trying to remember the way you came.

I had to stop playing again. I might continue again in a week or so.

I appreciate the offer! But that is one of the main reasons I bought the game, was to support this small company. The game has been very frightening so far, I've kept true to the playing it in the dark with noone around to try and get immersed in the game, and I sure haven't been this terrified in a long time. I am loving it so far.

all 3 endings sucked

not the ending themselves, just like... it was like wait its over? Left a lot to be desired, but otherwise the game was phenomenal

Just finished the game, so damn awesome!

I only died 3 times total so i think i did pretty decently.

Every time you think that it cant get much worse then some area you just got out of, the game proves you wrong (also: LAMP OIL, MY KINGDOM FOR SOME LAMP OIL!).

Well worth the few bucks.

Bump. Just bought this game for Christmas. It's amazing. I love the atmosphere. My only (small) problem with Amnesia is that the game will literally FORCE you to watch something happen. I guess they don't want you to miss out on the scary effects.

Other than that tiny problem this game is absolutely incredible. Everyone should do themselves a favor and at LEAST play the demo.

This is the first horror game I've ever played. It is fucking scary, I can't stand playing it for more than 45 minutes at a time. I am at the prison right now and I can't even bring myself to play it anymore. I have half a tank of oil left with no spare, and I have like two tinder boxes. That monster banged into the hiding places twice, both time I managed to get around him and go into a different prison cell but he is relentless. I think I might have to start over and make sure I don't waste any oil LOL

I can't stand scary games (horror movies, spiders, ye), but my girlfriend is a big fan of the Silent Hill series so I just bought Amnesia @ the Steam sale.

I'll force her to play with headphones without breaks so she gets immersed. Not sure if I'll be able to stay in the same room when she plays....

Bought this game. Played for about an hour. Gave to friend. Screw this game, I'm getting scared of my own computer. Was impressive how much Frictional have managed to wierd me out though.
