Hey I've been following this blog and I just came across this thing on another site. It's sort of similar to what you're doing so I thought I'd share.

It's basically a challenge to run through a pokemon game with a set of rules. The rules given here are:
1. If a pokemon faints, you must release it as soon as possible.
2. You can ONLY catch the first pokemon you encounter in a route/cave/town/area (You get the idea). If you defeat the first pokemon you see, tough shit, you get nothing from this area.
3. Obviously if you run out of pokemon, you must start again.
4. Potions, healing items of any kind infact, are DISALLOWED.
5. Give your pokemon nicknames, for fucks sake! Make them your little babies! CARE FOR THEM!
Just something interesting to do after this whole thing is over if you want or for anyone else to try.

Sorry, but one of my solid unwavering resolutions has been that if one of the progamons dies, it will stay dead. Otherwise its all for naught.
Dont worry though, im sure there'll be more joining that category after this gym
Alright, Im gonna be facing this gym now, and I'm gonna take Horny and Protoss because of the combination of these challenges
FOR CINNABAR GYM:
When you are in the 7th gym, you can not use water pokemons.
You can use water type attacks, but not water pokemon
You must fight all the trainers but use a grass type at least once per trainer
1) You can only use two Pokemon for the whole gym.
2) You cannot use any of your dragon types.
3) No potions or healing stuff.
4) No pit stops at the pokemon center.
I'm gonna go grind hardcore, be back soon. They're probably still gonna die, I dont see how this is even possible D:

you can still switch out the grass type? it didnt mention that you have to win a battle with grass.

Damn it I was going to have it turn out it became hideously mutated into Mewto and you would have to fight it in an epic battle as the climatic ending oft his blog.

ooh that woulda been epic but MewTwo is already confirmed as NaDa so that wouldnt make sense

Horny will still die without potions though, having to go through so many trainers + leader, and then i'll have to use protoss anyway. Im gonna level them a bit, not too much, then start
