I used to literally go through the whole game with just my starter pokemon.. weaknesses or not. It's not that tough  | ||

It's not that tough With the slight difference that your starter pokemon will be around level 70 or 80 at this point due to getting all the XP for itself. Getting 20+ pokemon to a level where they can solo evey gym takes a lot of grinding. | ||
