i have the best gear for lightning but the builds are underwhelming. cold appears the best, but i dont have an amulet or SoJ for cold. i have at least a SoJ for fire (better one for lit). | ||

Just use fire sentries/cluster bomb/multishot and use a cold elemental arrow rune | ||

As for fire using cull the weak the best is to use frost arrow + cluster arrow - loaded for bear or use polar station on your sentries to proc the slow. | ||

here is my character for reference: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/dAPhREAk-1843/hero/51716084 also, a 2700 dps one hand crossbow just dropped with great rolls (i didnt even need to enchant). i heard that 2h crossbows are better though unless you can meet certain breakpoints. any thoughts? | ||

You don't need a cold amulet. Most people reroll elemental for sockets on their amulets anyway. As far as soj goes, you won't be using it in solo play anyway if you have tasker and theos or hexing pants since you'll be running rorg and unity. 2h crossbows were the best but 2h bows are the best now. | ||

Also, rorg has forced attack speed and life on hit, which is terrible for many builds. It's just too time consuming to get a good one and bounties are obviously not the endgame for many people. | ||

edit: unless there is nonlinear breakpoint scaling...which i guess is possible. for the 2.85 breakpoint, sentries fire 3 times as fast as the slowest tier, while attack speed required is 2.6 times. this i suppose can give an advantage to bows if it is the case that xbows can't hit this breakpoint. | ||
