Furthermore, unlike MP0, every single bit of gear can roll ilvl63 stats when you are on MP1+. It's a huge gear buff. No dude act 3 mp 0 is no different in terms of drop from any act mp 1, the only difference is like burrfoot said 25% mf and 1% bonus drop. Every single item can roll ilvlx stats where x = to mob lvl and every mob in a3 mp 0 is lvl 63 just like in mp1+.

Still, for my char, without at least MP3 I can't maintain WOTB, so the MP1/0 dilemma has a rather easy answer :D

Only reason to go higher then mp0 , is for characters that can use the extra mf to go over the 375% cap and still have dmg to clear it in same time. I as a 215k dps demon hunter(when using my normal gear) stopped doing anything but mp0 - just swapped to MF gear and leoric signet. Xp goes faster, more loot, more legends... They really need to improve the MP bonuses or soon 95% percent of players will grind only mp0. It is also sad that money is kind of useless to me now, i have enough money to turn all classes into efficient mp0 farmers. Whats the point in doing anything other, I kind of wanted mp to be something you strive for as you get better. But atm its complete and utter bull.

Yep, I'm at that same "wtf, am I really just grinding XP?" phase because I can very easily clear MP0 in my sleep @ 60% movement speed, and the DPS I would need to get to clear MP4 at the same speed (where the +bonus item becomes noticeable) is completely not worth the investment. Looking at my gear now, I don't see a good item worth upgrading, as I can do MP8 in my 'tanky' when needed. I would need to triple my DPS, up my sustain, and swap some movement skills to defensive ones to do MP4 at the same speed. Since WW barbs were already the highest movement spec, they don't see the big shift in 'ideal clearing' build that other classes like Monks have started to come to realize. I'm sure other classes are starting to figure out builds that clear faster than the cookie cutter ones from 1.04.

I've heard countless accounts of making radiant square gems costing upwards of 15 mil, and they seem to only sell in AH for 14 mill tops. In this case, why would anyone ever craft gems at all? I find it to be a bit confusing... just was looking for some TL advice on it, thanks!

What I can't understand is why the emerald radiant star design is still 2,800,000. Are people buying these in the hope that crafting becomes profitable again one day? or for achievements?

Say you have 729 emeralds (disregarding the tomes and designs) If you use them to make a Radiant Star you pay Shen 15,400,000 to craft If you sell them and buy a Radiant Star (729 *1900)*0.85 - 9,730,000 you pay 8,552,665 Prices are EU SC emeralds So currently its 6,847,335 cheaper to buy than to craft

Anyway, I'll probably end up testing it myself anyway, but would I be better off doing MP0 A3 clears, or stick with VotA? Edit: also, dumb question. When people say XX unbuffed dps, that basically means character sheet dps, right? Or character sheet dps minus any buffs from passive skills?

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/ZYXlimitLSR-2987/hero/18083824 can anyone tell me about what component would be my cheapest upgrade? I know the easiest way would be a socketed echoing fury with 100% critchance, but i have less than 10mil... i'm leaning towards upgrading my ring atm. thanks a bunch guys!

I've gotten almost nothing worth putting up on the AH. Running on MP1 is necessary so Act II will be level 63, and I didn't notice a real difference between my killing speed on MP1 and MP2 (but on MP3 I occasionally die to careless elite pack engagements). Unbuffed dps means your character sheet dps without any active skills activated; and for DH without sharpshooter (all other passive buffs do count). As for mp0 A3 versus MP2 VotA; you'll just have to test it yourself to see. A3 runs are much longer; I hear it's about 30 minutes at max speed. So you'll have to see how many rares you get / minute to get a real comparison to VotA. But my gut says you'll have more luck sticking with VotA - since dropping 2 monster powers is a 50% MF loss right there.
