EDIT: Ok, right after posting that, I checked the first guy I saw in general chat. 250 hour wizard, with 20k dps and inferno butcher slain. I just did this, and the first person to show up was a 230ish hour DH that was rocking a 1h xbow and a quiver.

What if they're just stacking cheap MF gear doing act 1 runs or something though?

if you have that problem, think about all the poor people who barely survive act 2....

I look at their gear. Most of the time they only build their main stat plus vit.

Ah, okay wow. That is a bit sad then, wonder what they do for all that time :/

Well what the hell do you expect people to play this game? Rushing the content, knowing there is really no end-game and no PvP makes absolutely no sense, unless you want to start farming gold as soon as possible, but even then you can just buy some gold, rater than farm it. Seems to me Diablo 3 forums on TL are the most elitist of them all, and that's in a game where skill is irrelevant ^_^
*gets off his high horse*
Just mad coz this game is boring :p Hope pvp will change that.

I guess it's just a matter of perspective, in my mind the game doesnt begin until inferno (which is why im kinda mad there's 3 acts you have to slave through until you can actually start playing, but on the other hand you only have to do it once with each char seeing as builds arent set in stone so I guess it makes sense).
Also, if it were me I would not be having fun like that, however if I'm being super serious then it isnt actually sad, so long as they're enjoying it to a reasonable extent no one elses thoughts matter at all.

I think the problem is that the game showers you with rare items and yet they are all crap. I would much prefer to get another tier of items, unique or whatever, that is weaker than legenderay, but stronger than rare. You get for example 2-3 per run and they have a higher chance of being decent. Right now the rare items aren't rare at all, while the legendaries are exactly what the name suggests. I think there should be something that is both hard to find, but at the same time rewarding and somehow bridging the gap between rare and legendary items.

I am 300 hours and I still can't farm act 3 efficiently. I think people who arrive inferno later than patch 1.0.3 will get stuck there at act 1 or act 2 because they can not sell any item on ah. They will never have enough gold to buy act 3 item.

i doubt that. if they were farming they wouldn't be doing 20k dps, they would be trying to clear the act asap. From personal experience they are probably just using the wrong skill sets like i was.
using caltrops, i was struggling with certain affixes on elites and dying easy with 500+ all res, 25k hp, and 60k dps i couldn't get through act 2 without spending more to repair than i was making.
i switched to gloom/preparation and now its easy.

Okay. After a long period of farming, I finally decided to try to clear the game with my wizard. I started from the beginning of A3, and soon I found myself at the phenomenon known as "fuck Ghom".
I can only bring him down to 50% before the entire room is completely filled with poison clouds......
Therefore, I would need the assistance of some kind soul to assist me with killing Ghom. Upon killing Ghom, I will reward that kind soul with 300k gold as a token of appreciation.
Oh btw Americas server.
Edit: Cleared with the help of TheMango. Thanks!!

Idling hours+didn't use the early exploits+bad luck on good drop/didn't flip in AH. Moreover, the people you seen still playing the game are probably just started recently ie they couldn't use any exploits so thats the average joes for you which is exactly why most people have already left this game.
I will only say if you are a Wiz/DH since launch then there is no reason you haven't cleared inferno already, too much abusive shit for both of the classes unless of course the wiz/dh players didn't bother or playing everything legibly.
The only skill in this game is actually flipping in AH. Also, pity anyone who played WD since launch (except DrGreen lol but i think he quit too).
