Personally I have quite a bit of IAS, but I am waiting for the patch details (instead of rumours) before i decide to change anything. Stacking crit/crit damage on any slot possible seems to be the best alternative for damage dealing, but you need a decently fast mainhand to make that work. If the rumoured changes happen, what definitly will happen is that signature spells disappear from many builds again. Not really rumours are they, its data-mined information from the patched version on the Blizzard servers, so while its subject to change of course as its not gone live yet, its pretty unlikely. In that version IAS on gear is cut by about 50%, which to me sounds about right for bringing IAS back in line with other stats. Making it useful, just not significantly better than crit chance / dmg or other dps stats. If it turns out to be an over nerf I'd be confident in saying it will be reworked over time. You won't need to change anything, just expect your style to not be the killer style it once was. What isn't in that information is how inferno has been retuned as that information is all server side, so while IAS may well have been nerfed it'll probably likely that due to inferno tweaks you don't feel any less powerful than before, its just there are now more options (ie good balance). It seems like everyone thinks the prices will plummet completely, but is that true at all? Will it make IAS even more coveted? It almost seems like you might HAVE to stack it now, and any item slot that could possibly have IAS you'd want it there. Markets are fickle, its possible IAS items will plummet in value briefy for the reason you said, people think they will, but as I stated I don't think its going to make IAS useless, even if its temporarily useless Blizzard would fix it eventually (1.1 or a hotfix). My only advice is don't buy anything expensive, if you see a good deal from panic sellers its probably worth picking up if you want to use the items but its a gamble if you're buying to resell as we don't know what the effects will be yet. I still think that IAS will be a prized stat, it just won't be a case of items with IAS selling for 10x the price of those without it because its the only stat worth having. Its a safe bet that Blizzard want it to be a case that good IAS rolls are valuable but at the same time, great crit chance / dmg rolls are better than average IAS rolls so those top items will likely retain value, but middle of the road items wont. IAS weapons will become significantly cheaper as their dps will reduce significantly, I think the most likely effect of this will be less mega dps blues, which is good in my opinion.

I haven't had the chance to play it at all since release, but since holidays are coming up I'm trying my best to gather up $80 to buy it, but recently it's been receiving lots of negativity... Any suggestions? I don't wanna waste $80 on something that I'm not going to have a good time playing Not really at the moment, it might be worthwhile once they add some content to it. It gave me about 40 hours of entertainment which isn't too bad for $80.

The mega dps blues doesn't have attack speed. This will actually make rares worse in compared to blues.

You should start stacking crit dmg + crit chance. Items with these properties are still relatively cheap, snag them before they increase in price (permanently) once the nerf hits.
