Basically, you have to go to this website: http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/order-returns-exchanges and follow the directions. Click on the 'Contact Us' to file a ticket, asking for a refund. They do not have 'Refund/returns' as one of the ticket categories, even though they say submit a ticket for refunds, so I just chose what suited my reasons for returning the product. Here's a screenshot of the conversation that occurred: + Show Spoiler + ![]() and here is my receipt: + Show Spoiler + ![]() Hope this helps. edit: if you can't see the full images, right click and select 'open image in a new tab' only digital download or physical copy?

Most chains do not have a problem with giving refunds if (and that is a big if) the game is truly not working. I have no idea if the server problems are enough for a refund (and frankly i won't give my copy back anyway) but I'd give you good odds that you will get your money back without many problems considering the state of the game.

I think I just had some of my gear sniped in the AH by 600 dollar auctions when it went down for a while during the last few hours of the pending auction, and they got my good items for basically nothings lol.

I may be one of the few people who actually regret getting this game. I managed to get my hands on a collector's edition pre-order two days before release. I was pretty excited about that. I hadn't played Diablo in 10 years and I had largely only remembered it being a fun and interesting "questing" sort of game, with eerie music and environments. About an hour into D3 I was so freaking disappointed. Everyone told me it would get better as I learned more spells but no. I couldn't stand it. Just mindless searching around dungeons all the time, and no challenge at all. When I killed Azmodan in Nightmare mode by only using my mouse hand and my right/left mouse buttons - I was done. Two repeated clicks to defeat one of the later bosses in the game. Attack and move. One hand. Seriously? Apparently so. It doesn't make sense to me that they would make the game so easy that by the time you get to the point where there's any real challenge you're bored with it. To top that off, at harder levels, where you need better gear, the gear from mobs becomes less and less useful when compared to other sources that require less effort to obtain it. Again I'll bitch about the following: It's the same freaking game. The fact that to actually be challenged by D3 required I would have to play the same fucking game 3 times over pissed me off the most. It reminded me of Super Ghouls and Ghosts for the SNES when I was a kid. If you've played and beaten that, you know what I mean. Total fucking slap in the face. "Oh, we ran out of ideas... how about you do this!?" I suppose it's all my fault. Well, it is my fault. I didn't really remember enough about Diablo as a series (was pretty young when I played it) to make an informed decision about D3. I also didn't go around reading everything I could find about the game before it came out and I didn't really hear much about the beta except a few complaints about it being easy, to which Blizzard replied "It's just the beta, the real thing won't be this easy." I was a Blizzard fanboy and I gobbled up that D3 carrot just like I did with SC2. Well, turns out it really is that easy and it's boring as fuck to boot. I guess I just remembered the exciting parts about Diablo and how cool and unique it felt when I was a kid; the story, the quests, the talents, etc. and forgot that D1 and D2 also had a grind to them - although I don't think it was as pronounced as D3. Fuck, maybe I'm just old and jaded... but when I think about it, I can't recall another game I've ever played that I found so mind-numbing in story, gameplay, and difficulty. Yes, I know, it gets harder if you play it the third time through; but that's just more of that mind-numbing issue again. If I could, I'd give my CE to someone else. Alas, I don't think that's possible now. I feel like I ripped someone off. That I literally feel guilty about owning a collector's edition that someone else would appreciate so much more than I do is a horrible, horrible indication of my thoughts on this game. Ah well, at least the D3 design book that came with it is interesting. EDIT: Spelling.

Maybe I've played too many MMOs but I don't think 40 hours is a huge grind to get into the endgame, could be just me though (Inferno act 2 is where it begins)

I kind of disagreed with some of his concepts for stabilising the economy and supporting the item hunt. Not as in, disagreeing that they would be effective, but disagreeing with the methodology. I would advocate preventing monsters/chests from dropping gold. Might sound crazy but if the only way to acquire gold was via selling items found, instead of finding gold directly, then vendors would have to pay better prices for all items, which means that you wouldn't see the AH flooded with "okay" items because it's only worth selling something of reasonable quality. It also inflates the value of crafting mats. I was against the blacksmith eating gems to roll stats idea at first, but I do admit that with no way to destroy gems, eventually you'll have radiant stars coming from every which way. Farm mode is okay, I would prefer an endless cavern with a waypoint every 3-5 levels that just increases in difficulty the deeper you go and has bosses intermittently, but that's me. And I'm not a game designer because I suck at coding and graphics, and I don't have enough money to buy my own studio. ![]()

I didn't spend much time in Act 2 (well, not any more time than I needed or wanted to), but I did Maghda runs. Start City of Blood, backtrack to the wide area south of the outpost, look for 1-2 elites, move forward, look for 1-2 elites in each area, explore random dungeons if you need more elites. Kill Maghda when ready; she's super-easy. If you do this, you should prepare yourself to handle the worst kinds of combinations on Gnats and Lacuni Huntresses. All of the other mob types are pretty easy, although Threshers can get annoying with their constant hiding.

Doing risky runs for gear? excellente. EDIT: Pretty much confirmed by some guy above saying everyone farms a treasure goblin. Blizzard really ruined hardcore? >.<
