They could have just made a seperate inferno beta that would, say, give us lvl 60 characters with decent gear and would let us play the start of act 4 or something | ||

I would actually take a long time if people actually do it properly but hey bosses are all that count in a world first rush. I am quite surprise that Blizzard didn't know about res hopping, may be they do but just don't give a fuk. Blizzard needs to fire those game testers that tested the game. | ||

Also, Blizzard has to cater for the casual to semi-casual gamer (after all, they want to sell X million copies). If they make it so that pros playing 16h per day can not beat it in 6 months, then the vast majority of players can never do it. | ||

Maybe someone who's never played Diablo 2 or doesn't understand the community or what people would do to break a record lol. Consensus here was that it would be months because Blizzard said it was super-duper impossible and they thought it would take months to beat. Higher post count people were guessing shorter though. | ||

If it took 6 months to beat Inferno for even the most hardcore teams, that would mean 6 months of 24/7 gear farming. That's not the best game design anyway. I'm sure they could have just prevented you from corpse running and rezzing each other, and it would have taken 5 times as long to finish inferno. | ||
