Conduit is better during a rift and power is better for bosses. You want Conduit to help quickly clear out the trash/dps down blues/yellows then use the burst increase from power to cut chunks into the rift guardian.

Yeah its the best when you can pack in 2 or 3 blue/yellow packs and kite back to a conduit pylon along with the extra normal adds. Mmm. Progress.

I did bring my boss back to a power pylon. But flying dragon just wasn't proccing.. it was close.

I can clear T8 at average 2,3minute with my WW barb. I think average for TX is about 4.5min.
My math isnt good but lets say these numbers are absolute and we look at that graph, which is faster for legandaries?

With those numbers, it is better for legendaries, but worse for DBs and GR keys.

The rift legendary drop is only 1,5 times better on TX, which doesn't sound good when you clear it twice as hard, but DB and GR keys are 3+ times better, so even if you'd only like to farm legendaries (most possibly for rerolling legendaries), TX might still worth more.

2x15% means it is guaranteed to drop a death's breath and greater rift key with a 15% chance of dropping a second one. That means 1.15 on average with T8 and 1.5 on average with T10. Also, you can wear the death's breath set more easily on T8 without sacrificing kill speed. That changes the drop rates for DB to 2.15 on T8 and 2.5 on T10. Part of the increased efficiency in doing lower difficulties is that you can sacrifice dps for mobility.

So my HC character died because of the server crashing. Is there a method to closing the game immediately so that doesn't happen again?

The system D3 uses to detect disconnects etc., is actually atrocious. It can take sometimes up to 2-3 minutes to be fully disconnected ingame. My wife and I had 2 close calls over the weekend where she dc'd and I had to keep her alive for ~90 seconds until she left the game. Luckily on one of the DC I was on a healer monk so it was fairly easy to camp on her but on the 2nd, I was on a hammerdin. That was pretty hard, I had to just spam provoke / run around to health globes as they dropped. I really thought she was dead on the 2nd DC, was super intense trying to keep mobs away from her etc, lol.

Ofcourse D3 isnt 100% stable and this creates issues. It sucks but it is something you buy into by choosing to play Hardcore.

Heck if you want you can just play Softcore and delete your character whenever you die.

It's supposed to be 10 seconds to stop plug pulling/alt+f4. In practice it takes between 10 seconds and 5 minutes (longest I ever personally witnessed). Blizzard are just goofed on DCs.

yeah I mean its clearly there to prevent you from using tricks like that to avoid death, or to cut your net in order to skip ahead when you resync without encountering mobs and whatnot.

but its not working that way. and its ridiculous. like do I really need to wait until all of my defensive cool downs have worn off and my cheat death popped before I get dc'd a minute later? or even reconnect to find my corpse?

I lose so many xp pools to this nonsense.

PS: crms, do you only have HC characters? whats your handle bc I don't see a 'crms' online and I was around all weekend.

I have SC characters but they're from vanilla / launch. I wasn't on a lot last weekend but my btag is crms#1320.

This season I have a:

Hammerdin ~GR50ish, I've done a 52 solo pretty easily but I don't have an ancient Johanna's so I'm not sure it's worth pushing more until I do.

Heal Monk/XP monk - Highest I've cleared was 63 in 2 man, I feel this monk can go to ~70ish

U6 Monk - I just use this guy to speed run bounties, rifts and lower level grifts 40-50ish.


If you ever wanna try HC this season I'm down to power level you. Every season I power level quite a few people because I like to help other people try it out/get hooked without having to invest a lot of time to get started. :D

idk I feel like my internet connection and blizzard's servers scare me when it comes to playing/trying hardcore. I also tend to make risky plays for the sake of pushing my character to its limits. im probably not well suited for that kind of play
