I dunno, but if you think about it, it seems like that period would fit better with the whole "Sun Tzu" theme they go for in Shogun. If I had to guess, it probably has to do with them wanting a "late period" to include early muskets/cannons etc and relations with the west | ||

It has less factions, less famous persons, limited weapons(as you already stated), it's smaller as a whole. They didn't even scratch the surface in the first game(+addon) and it was already a really good game. | ||

Atleast Wii has some really good exclusives like Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, the 4 Bit.Trip games, Super Paper Mario, Zelda, Metroid Prime Trilogy and more + all the old games on Virtual Console! What do xbox have? Fable 2? Halo 3? Gears of War 2? lol | ||
