Pros: you jungle 15 seconds faster on your first run through and have an item better suited to ganking at level 4. It's also safer as you have more starting HP and more dmg/leech against a ganker. Cons: you spend about 70 more gold and can't build HoG or razor fast
So start Dorans if you're going to gank and they have a jungler... and you're good at ganking of course to make up the money difference.

I decided to look up the first named player i knew of back in the days when i was scrubby(inb4 'those days havent ended') who played WW in the top 100 consistently before his buff, Wazzabi. I have always thought of him as the leading WW player and what i saw when i looked up his runepage made me curious to know all of his thought processes that went into this particular runepage...
3 Armor pen marks (5.9 ArP) 6 Attack speed marks 9 Attack speed seals 9 Attack speed glyphs Totaling 23% AS and 5.9 ArP and his quints are really what took me by surprise... he had 3 1g/10 quints
so....discuss!
p.s. i also thought he had retired except for a few games here and there a few months ago, however since season 1 started hes got 260 games as WW with 65% winrate (1644 elo in solo-queue when i looked)
He's rounding out as/apen with masteries to get the most dmg on jungle creeps which I sorta do. Nfi about the quints though. I got AS quints so I can get armour seals and whatever glyphs.
Hmm actually the gold might be for buying an early madreds for dragon, but it seems too 1 purpose only.
Edit: and no u can't cap AS with just runes, masteries w and br. U get close at lvl 18 though.
actually from memory a full rune page off AS (38%) will give u 1.0 something a/s at lvl 1. Br is 40% and W I think maxes to about 45%, putting you around 2.0 a/s after lvl 16/17. It takes another recurve bow to hit max AS if I recall correctly.
Having a base AS of 2.0 before popping W is hella fun for towers/inhibs lol. Br + wits end usually gets u that.

So just played a game as Trist with 3 friends. They have a jungle Akali and the worst Garen I have ever seen defending top. My friends proceed to take top turret in 5 minutes flat. Then they announced 2 of them had to leave. >.<
Our Amumu ragequit even though I maintain we could have beat the team 3v5. So we continued 2v5. This was the result.

In conclusion, extra gold should be given to the players left over after a leave. P.S. My record is blanked cause I'm embarrassed.

Hmm that does seem beneficial. With dorians blade could you safely start at blue with the additional hp? Mostly I start at wraiths because I find Olaf is susceptible to an early gank because he ends up with very low amounts of hp after getting/ during a Blue Golem start.

Most "junglers" are 50% or lower starting blue.. it's a risk/reward thing.
The benefits to starting doran's blade lead me to want to start stone golems anyway and end with blue buff. This way you have blue up during and after your gank attempt and you're safer from a level 2 gank yourself. If you're going to start blue then you must feel safe enough to start cloth armor as well IMO.

Life leech is bad because it doesn't actually increase your damage, but you need it somewhere (Wriggles', Bloodthirster, etc) so you don't die to incidental damage.
The passive is bad because you need to hit 6 times to fully stack it. a Long Sword would have given you 60 damage over those hits, where the Malady gives you only 55.
Malady is an 1890 gold item that increases your single hit damage by 0 and your 2-hit damage by 5. For 85 more, you can buy a Recurve Bow and a Pickaxe and be 2/3 the way to Madred's, doing 90 more damage over the 6 hits, or for 20g more you can buy an entire Manamune, which scales amazingly with many ranged heroes.
Theoretically I understand what you're saying, but I find it hard to find an early-game item that offers survivability in a solo lane plus at least a little attack speed. Not to mention it lets me lane forever without having to go back. I'll try rushing madred's first and see how that goes.
5 hp pots seem to do the job better than a full item that cost like 1.8K and deters you from getting your main dps item. Rather than getting the 1.8K malady, I think just a recurve bow would do. Like somebody else said, if you really need survivability, stacking doran's blades will do a better job than getting a malady. You could also sell your dorans' later. I can tell you want atk speed and lifesteal to quickly heal back all your life, but as a solo lane carry, first priority should be to farm up that huge atk item.

Heh no worries pal. I don't look at suggestions based off a person's elo as many suggestion can be very helpful, well most anyway. If you have a grasp at the game and know what to do then I don't think you should find it to much of a problem to make good suggestions, as with most cases I find people have a hard time executing what they know they should be doing but instead either just forget or aren't able to do so in the allotted time which is in a sense like starcraft. There are some that understand the game very well but the lack of execution prevents them from being really good, but that shouldn't mean their advice is any less significant =).
