Also your first 5 items should be HoGs, then get boots". And if one hero can't be built that way then by TL standards it sucks.
Lies! I think Kayle is a good exception , if I think of some more good chars that don't need some kind of survivability I'll let you know..
the major problem is.. the longer you live, the more useful you are...
So even the best dps like kog maw want survivability after their initial damage item
anyone with pure dps items without good escape mechanisms, like lets say ashe.. are just begging to be insta killed and turn the battle in to a 4v5

Just get your W first and pot as soon as possible after pulling the golem. I ran defense masteries though, so I was one creep short of level 2; either leeching one from mid or just waiting for pots to regen health will allow you to do wolves and finish the standard path. im also specced pretty far into utility for the buff and such but idk, i got him down to 2-3 hits with cloth armor but he killed me right before i got the last hit in, i also used E first instead of W

I've seen some people 'trolling' around with Panth + revive. At start they die to a turret and take mid with about ~900hp. When team fights take place they run in to the heat of battle and do most damage they can and die in the process, then revive and quickly jump back in with ult. Dunno if its viable strategy or just for fun messing around?

Just go 9 into utility to get experience/1 point in jungle mastery and put the rest in defense. You're level 26 right? Should be ezpz~

I actually think Berserker boots arent the way to go with WW, better get Mercs or Sorcerer if you're doing well. But Mercs mostly.
I dont think you need the attack speed boost, your w gives a ton and WW's main damage source is Bloodrazors, Hungering Strike and Ulti, all magic damage.

My friends and I have toyed with the idea of going all revive+teleport and using characters with global ults exclusively, so we can be everywhere (or at least doing damage everywhere) all at the same time. Panth/Gang/TF/Karthus/Shen or something.

Check out Mogwai's Panth guide, he talks a bit about Revive. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=129727¤tpage=855#17097
For the AoE team: Morgana, Miss Fortune.

lololol heart of gold is so good just had the most gold earned in a 25 minute game despite least creep kills madreds->HoG->swiftness->HoG->HoG->HoG 4k gold at the end of the game, no need for any other items, just want more slots for more HoG

AOE team: Amumu, Galio, Katarina, Annie/Morg, any physical DPS. Twitch, MF, Trist, Sivir, Garen all work well here.
Not only will this team destroy in teamfights but they do well in all stages of the game too.

are you guys who are talking about MF's ult clearing teams trolling? because its seriously terrible. i cant think of a worse ult on an auto attacking champ.

He builds really tanky too so when he revives and ults in he comes back with 4k~ hp. It's definitely viable, at least when he does it

Why is Jax not used anymore? He seems to fit pretty well with the current metagame.

Alright, perhaps I should have written that out a little better but you can't deny that you would want Garen on a team like that.

I have to agree, MF's ult is probably the least problematic thing about her without sick CC. Her Q was dealing insane damage, healing like 50-75% of her HP. My HP were dropping by a HUGE chunk if one of the rebounds hit me. She was dropping quickly as well, despite the healing.
I got the Bloodrazor as the very last item, sold my Brutalizer for it. Should the game have gone on even longer, I would have gotten another Phantom Dancer in exchange for my Boots I guess. Morde really was our biggest problem though, he got feeded to 5-1 or so fairly early. I don't even know how Eve died that much, she was a pain to take down, almost as hard to kill as Morde. She certainly always kept us cautious and we (my allies that is) spent a lot of money on Oracles and wards.
Oh I earned a few comments on my Regrowth start again, but I felt it was a good choice once again. Didn't get a Philo though :p

Some days I wonder if Nasus is the only hero I can actually play well.

LOL 3 bloodthirsters on MF... and the heal procs on both her Q hits... oh god that's horrifying lol
