Any quick tips on what I can convert nearly straight from DotA to LoL to show them how its done? Probably a farmer/lategame hero would be the easiest to pull off when you're unfamiliar with hotkeys and stuff. all hotkeys are qwer
easiest transition hero is probably master yi

liquidparty has been empty.
this makes me sad

easiest transition hero is jax. just mash his stun during teamfights and you win!

sounds like you were playing a noob team

Master yi is kinda like yurnero Ashe is kinda like drow Annie is kinda like lina
Annie and Ashe are both free champions this week (for only a couple more days though). Master yi cost only 450IP. Those would be your best bets.

Amumu + MF's ult just wrecks teams. I think the client is very buggy after the latest patch... it's eating my comps resources like fat hog and ppl are having problems with connections.
Nasus is a solid pick for a starter champ too... he is so versatile and can adapt to different situations. Yi on the other hand as a glass cannon can lead to some... crappy games since he needs some sort of backup to shine out. And he gets wrecked against a heavy stun team.

are servers down?
reinstall adobe air everyone it makes life easier

I wouldn't say Nasus is a good pick for a new player. He relies on last hitting and solo pushing, I think new players should play a champion that is good a team fighting, not a pusher since that requires a lot of experience.

Ashe plays pretty similar to Drow Ranger in DoTA, so might be easier to get used to the game before u get all the items down in ur head...
also, not alot of escape item in this game (don have stuff like Blink Dagger, Lothars Edge etc etc) but u get to pick sumoner spell for that instead...

I'm considering heading down to WCG this year to see the brood war ... Hopefully spectating room is in abundance, hoping to have a good time.. Might watch some LoL but I don't know if I could resist the urges to slap hotshotgg

Warwick is a good hero for new players too - he is just expensive.

Most players suggest GA or Banshees

Also your first 5 items should be HoGs, then get boots". And if one hero can't be built that way then by TL standards it sucks.

He doesn't exactly last hit very well. well i went 4-0-12 that game but im questioning the build i did since i was reading about sunfire after boots = bad so i basically went shield+pot b when enough for 1 HoG + boots then b again when i could finish 2nd HoG/boots2 then randuins and sell other heart for Sunfire, then start making sunfires y/n? If I'm going for early HoG's (Mumu or Shen) I always open cloth armor + pots, even if I'm not jungling. Doran's Shield is great and all, but it slows down your HoG's. the only reason i open shield is to blue buff first(i dont have the runes ATM to do it with just a cloth armor+pots) though i guess i could start at wolves and be just fine ALSO: since i dont play many caster type heroes im just gonna finish my melee/range dps page then make a tank page(i play alot of tanks actually..) i assume i should run ?? reds armor yellow armor blue? health quints can anyone tell me what would work best
I jungled just fine yesterday on my level 8 smurf account so... pretty sure you can do cloth armor + 5 hp pot opening @ mana golem with Amumu. Just get your W first and pot as soon as possible after pulling the golem. I ran defense masteries though, so I was one creep short of level 2; either leeching one from mid or just waiting for pots to regen health will allow you to do wolves and finish the standard path.
