Noobie gets a 0.5 ratio every game I queue with him. Sooo heavy. And he tells me to die cause I wanted to eat dinner instead of queueing again!

So what are people's opinions on Manamune? Poll: Manamune? It's pretty good, but I dunno why everyone is flippin' shit over it. (13) PC Load Letter... What the Mundo does THAT mean? (9) Not nerfworthy but forum bitching will get it nerfed. (4) OMG OP, gonna get rightfully nerfed! (3) Meh, why would you even buy this item? (0) 29 total votes Your vote: Manamune? Builds from Tears of goddess, which also builds into archangel's staff, therefore, the champion to use this must not benefit from turning the tear into the staff, eg, the champion should value AD over AP. Manamune isn't effective until late game, so the champion should be effective late game. Manamune gives a passive mana boost, so the champion should need a large manapool. So, what we are looking for on a champion that uses manamune is an AD late game dps that requires a large manapool. Heres who I think may benefit from this Sivir: She autoattacks quite often to build up manamune, AD is a great stat for her due to her W, she also requires a large mana pool to spam Q in fights, may be an interesting option for mana compared to chalice. Nidalee, going nidalee is one of the few champions that can constantly spam, so she gets the 1000 mana that much faster, cat form benefits from AD, and she can spam heal and spear to use the mana pool. DPS kassadin: on paper kassadin should be a decent melee dps, he has a blink, a slow a silence to get up in your face and whack you to death. This is considered an inferior build because AP kass does so much damage, but with a manamune, could be a fun build to try out (do so at your own risk) Alistar: spamable E lets you build this up quite fast, but recently reds changed up how sheen works, lowering his dps combo by about 10-20% damage, but they are looking into it and may attempt to bring back the combo. We shall see how dps alistar fairs. Udyr is one of the few champions that can charge up tear fast, but I feel he should be played as a tank rather as a dps, still, manamune should be viable on a dps udyr. I probably missed some good champions for this, ad kogmaw? singed? ad Janna? etc

Maybe a completely different build could make good use of it, but I don't see one yet. So I'm probably not even gonna bother with Manamune on Ashe. Her base mana pool and item choices don't fit imo.

2. Every decent Nid is going AP, and Manamune is no reason to change 3. As you said, AP>DPS for now 4. Even if you do go DPS Alistar, he needs ASPD, not Damage. 5. Possible on Udyr, but I feel the tank variant is stronger at the moment anyways. AD Janna is the only hero I can think of off the top of my head. Kayle has better options, since AP>AD usually, and 3 slots are taken for Guinsoo/Nashor/Boots. If you don't get Mp5 and don't spec Utility, Manamune -might- be good. That being said, you would probably be a punching bag, and wouldn't have summoner spells up a lot.

And lategame as Kayle I've never really had mana problems. Her only mana problems happen early to mid game, but lategame I never do even with spamming q and w and having e on constantly. With blue buff lategame I think it's impossible to run out of mana with kayle...although I do use mana regen seals. Maybe if you don't run any manaregen runes you might be able to use it effectively, but I feel that a kayle without rageblade and nashors is a lot weaker than other combos. And some games you only farm enough for boots + those 2 items before the game is over. Granted though, manamune is a great item for kayle as it gives her AD and AP + extra mana, but still items like hextech gunblade I feel would be even better and take priority especially since the buff to it for a DPS kayle.

the thing that makes manamune good is just simple cost efficiency in terms of damage... It's like, what? 60 gold more than a BF Sword? So you need like, 1600 mana to catch up to BF Sword in terms of efficiency, 1350 of which can come from the item? And that's just looking at damage efficiency which is just ignoring the benefits of having 1350 more mana. I'm not gonna go on a rant about how it's a wonderful OMG musthave because I think it's a pretty niche item, but the simple fact of the matter is that short of a stacked SotO it's the most efficient pure-damage item under 2000 gold (on mana users that is, derrrr). I do build it on jungle pantheon, simply because between lantern and brutalizer, I want to spend another 1500-2000 on offense before I get to defensive items, and in that niche, manamune is optimal (not to mention that when jungling, you can solve early mana with golem which lets you skimp on mana runes/masteries because manamune will solve all your mid-late game mana issues).

Also, I imagine it sucks on ezreal because (a) it delays your mid-game damage by too long, and (b) bf sword builds into better items

Probably the same dealio with Mundo.

Actually i just tested it and it is pretty frickin amazing and super easy to farm. I dunno cuz I queue against noobs in unranked but I thought it was really, really strong. I went meki -> manamune + boots/wards on first trip then went rageblade and built towards nashors. I felt a lot stronger than if I had gone straight rageblade for some reason and my mana was always, always up. Sometimes when I play kayle i find myself running out of mana with even mp5/lv seals and glyphs + nashors tooth. Manamune changed all that. And it syncs with Strength of Spirit. And it gives her AP. I dunno, it seems pretty solid when an item gives AP/damage/mana/mana regen/hp regen.

[edit] I might retract that, they buffed it pretty hard: On Kayle it's +71 Attack Damage, +88 Ability Power, +15% Lifesteal, +13% Spell vamp, and its been pretty decent. That's post buff. It costs what, 3.7k? Is that worth it?
