I agree but even with the cheapass sunfire capex2 build I use (plus whatever Mresist I decide to get my hands on) I'm usually targeted first as I'm the first one in there. (Bandage toss + Ult ftw) I last about 3-7 seconds after my ult goes off which is enough to net me a kill or two and damage most of the rest of their team, then I go down, or sometimes manage to escape with a bar of health left. I don't mind much because most of the time I'm the only one to die and we ace the team with 3-4 players still up. Maybe I'm building wrong? The build I've found works really well for me is Shield>Speed+3 boots(for chasing down with Despair/bandage toss)>SFCape>Rylai's>SFcape>Mresist item/GA/more AP/whatever. I suppose the build could be tankier but I enjoy games where I go 13/5/20 rather than 5/5/30. :D err, well, tankier builds don't die, so it's more like 5//0/30 =P.
well, I dunno, if the whole other team is focusing you when you ult them, then w/e, you're doing fine because your team should ezpz ace them every time if you're the one getting FFed for more than a couple seconds. I typically like mummy in jungle, obviously, but if you're laning, I still think you should go for 1 fast HoG + boots on your first bluepill, then you should probably go for a sunfire or abyssal alongside finishing your merc treads (boots3 are bad :p). If you're really finding yourself needing speed, go Sunfire -> FoN for your first 2 big items. FoN is pretty good on mummy and it beats the hell out of sacrificing merc treads for boots3. Rylai's is just a cute gimmick on mummy, it's really not that cost effective, even with it triggering off of despair, you're much better off getting a guardian angel with that money.

im just wandering if any1 knows a player called Darkez (he play yi)

I'm definitely going to have to keep that in mind for when I get to higher ELO, as right now when I play Amumu I could probably build AD and we'd still smash every team into the ground. I'll try the tankier build you've suggested' Merc's are definitely a better call over Boots3 in that case though why Abyssal if I'm already dropping some AP/DPS in favor of a tankier build? Also I would love to jungle but at the ELO I'm at, laning seems to work better; we often get 2 kills before level 6, and once I get Curse it's another free kill or 4 before teamfights begin. (Also I don't think any of my teammates know how to 1v2 )
Edit: Actually, maybe I'll try your build on my next solo attempt. I guess the survivability gives me more time to survive the initial 'Hey guys, Amumu just blew his ult and Yi is in there...maybe I should stop cleaning up minion waves and go help!?'
|
yea, the 1v2 issue is the biggest thing hurting low level jungling .
abyssal is just a nice item to get if you have a big AP AoE team. It fills your MRes hole defensively and increases your burst with stuff like Amumu + Fiddle + NuNu and other such faggotry that just explodes teams :p.

Ah, new computer is built. Gonna start playing this game :D

hey i was wondering if you guys could help my 5v5 group with getting a good team compisition
more in spoiler
+ Show Spoiler + Here is what we have so far: 1. Me: the only level 30 in the group can play most champions ( most experienced ) prefer fiddel gragas jax morgana nasus TF 2.my sister: plays cautiously pretty much only uses annie and usually ends up with a 2+:1 kd 3.friend A: second most experienced plays shen Kayle and Cho primarily. 4.friend b: not too experienced but still pretty good ( lvl 13ish) plays Shaco primarily but cant seem to bd properiy .. he will learn 5.least experienced level 10 only got even kd once. doesnt really have hero preference usually goes ashe or trist to stay ranged.
could you guys please help us find a good team comp for unranked 5v5. Also if u could list laning partners ( if needed we can have a jungle )

yea we always play together. i usually go smurf but not sure how much that matters because my elo is 1232 anyways.

Overall the teamcomp you listed sounds ok, the biggest problem I see with your specific comp is the lack of support/tank. The problem with tanks is you often need 2/3+ for them to be effective these days...it's really annoying. If you're going to go DPS/Nukers then Annie is a good choice along with Nasus/Morgana for a tougher carry/tank hybrid. I personally think Shen is one of the msot overrated heroes in existence...tell your buddy to learn Kayle...she is beastly when build right and can support as well. There are a lot of bad Shacos out there...if your friend doesn't know how to gank/abuse cover/stealth/jungle then he needs to pick a different hero or learn to play him better...nothing worse than a Shaco who can't do any of the things I mentioned...it effectively gimps your team completely. On the other hand a KS Shaco who knows how to gank will absolutely destroy the other team singlehandedly. (Unless they know how to ward/oracle, but even then it's up in the air! :D)
Ashe is a good starter hero as she is very balanced and doesnt require much skill to use at lower ELOs...Trist is harder to play well.
Hopefully that helps out. I'm not an amazing player myself so I'm sure Uta/Mog will have better advice for you if you'd rather not take mine.

team comp doesnt matter at all at that elo. just focus on getting good at one champ/better at the game

i would say if you are most experienced you should try to pickup a tank with good initiation. that way you can use your game sense to know when to initiate and once you initiate they will be like well i guess its time to blow them up.

Read my earlier Amumu post. I can never assume that. Especially at lower ELO. :D

i was talking to the guy who always premades with same 5 people.
on another note, is the new champ rotation up yet?

So I just started playing, and I have a fairly simple question that probably been answered, but I cant seem to find. I was wondering how to tell whether to go ap or ad for each character. Is there a way to tell if say, ezrael, should be played going for attack damage or ability power.
In the same veign, how can i tell whether i should go for armor or magic resist when building a tank?
|
What tank do u suggest i use? Amumu because he is great for making up for weaker dps or Allistar ( cant really make up for weak dps ) or Rammus
or nasus who is more offtank

i was talking to the guy who always premades with same 5 people. Oh I know. It took a while before we all learned to work together well enough so I could always assume they'd be there for a teamfight. Even now I still find myself yelling 'I'm jumping in!' in vent.

In the same veign, how can i tell whether i should go for armor or magic resist when building a tank? Oftentime there are multiple viable builds for a character...some have both AP and AD builds. A good way to tell is by looking at their abilities to see what they scale off of and what the ratio of AD or AP to damage is. As for armor or Mresist, it depends largely on your opposing team. Usually you want a nice balance of both, but armor goes a little further. Use your discretion. If the other team is all casters, stack Mresist and health.
What tank do u suggest i use? Amumu because he is great for making up for weaker dps or Allistar ( cant really make up for weak dps ) or Rammus I'd say just try them all out and see which one you like. each has its pros and drawbacks. Personally I've come to really enjoy Amumu, tried Rammus this week and I could come to like him but I hated Alistar. Also Nasus can very well be a 'main' tank. His Ult/snare is killer.

amumu and rammus are good places to start. try both, they are both good but different.
alistar is a TANK with his ult, but hes not as good at initiating and attracting damage as amu/ram. unless they are stupid and let you walk up and smash them all.
singed is really fun to play too.
idk about shen. i feel like he has the most utility in the early-mid game, but isnt as good late. but its late game that you really need a good tank. so i dont think he should be the main tank.
|
shen is good only if he knows how to ulti, when to ulti, the timing is extremely important...
|
I think I just saw a transfusion from a 18 tank Vlad take out 60% of a lv 14 WW's hp...
Warmog's is devastating on that guy

The game started with Trynd Dc'ing right near our tower at level 2. Singed and I promptly killed him and later Tristana. Singed and I were farmed and fed pretty well early game. While we were level 10-11, Fiddle left. By that time Trynd had come back. It was too late and we were too fed. I ended the game with ~4k gold.
