vladimir is so freaking annoying, he can't die but he doesn't do super insane damage. his ulti does a good amount but the rest is pretty underwhelming. he's just so freaking annoying to play against, you can't beat him unless maybe you have kat/trist someone with ignite.
not overpowered but these new heroes make me want to punch a kitten. xin zhao isn't overpowered in 5v5 but he's like melee ryze pretty much same as vlad.
i'd rather fight prenerf jax/ezreal then xin and vlad
your opinions? If he's not doing much damage and he's never dying, then he's not in the middle of things casting E over and over. Whatever works, I guess. It's not such a crime for him to get his ult off and then back away since his ult makes everyone do increased damage yeah? The one thing that absolutely rapes Vlad is having two silences on the opposing team, like Soraka/Cho/Malzabad/Kass/Garen.

I honestly think Malzahar is the worst character in the game.
|
Amazing, a soulmate who also believes Evelynn isn't the worst ^_^
EDIT: also you forgot fiddle's 15 second silence that wtfpwns vlad
|
Yeah, a quicksilver sash might work. I really wouldn't want to drop ignite because of how her ult work and she has no better range means of dealing "some" damage. Her EHP really skyrockets if she goes in while people are in the middle of dying and she ends up soaking a lot of damage without dying as well.
Imo everyone should build their champs to, while not be a superstar at teamfights, be useful enough not to make the whole thing a 4v5, then 1v5 (after the first four are dead due to that last person's inability to contribute anything).

The idea is to destroy their team so much you don't even need teamfights, and believe it or not but a triforce eve destroys towers in about 2 seconds flat. She can do stuff outside teamfights =o

what about... JUNGLE MALZAHAR?!?
Some of you experienced junglers, tell me where I'm falling behind. Do I need to take golem sooner? My route: golems wraiths wolves b blue wraiths golems whatever.
|
Malzahar just isn't suited for jungling in general, mostly because he has no gank potential until level 6 - that's pretty late.

Oh right and he can't gank either ;(

It's surprisingly fast jungle, actually. (as in, you would be surprised. but it's still not good.) You just don't gank well. And have no jungle control because you're usually at about half health if that. And you're bad 1v1.
Malz isn't all that great of a laner, either. You have a ranged skillshot nuke, a puddle that is slightly more threatening than Morgana's, and a farming tool that won't harass anyone who can move back from the creeps for 1-2 seconds every wave. Ignore the nuke and you don't threaten much. Ignore the puddle and your major teamfight contribution is gone. Ignore the farming and you aren't... farmed. It's also his main staying skill, so there's that too.
Really, he's just bad.

just got with grandjudge on our team. his shaco was... underwhelming...
we lost quite handily T_T

Hehe I was versing Salce one game as Garen and he smoked us, so I queued up again and he was on my team this time as Vlad. Owned pretty hard too. We also taught an amumu how to jungle. Yaaaay, happy times!
And yeah Malzahar is just bad. Like, I respect the guys trying to play him decently but shit, that guy sucks. He's like a crappy version of every mage in the game.
^^ I versed Grandjudge 3 games ago and he was Kassadin and he tore my team a new one.
well to be fair, the old AP TF was the king of backdoor
When TF first got completely reworked from AP to AD/AS he was more than the king of backdoor, he was like the God himself of it. He could take down a tower faster than Kayle can and had a global teleport. Ouuuuch.

soloing against him is pretty funny since he's got a no-mana heal that does damage, but yeah it's not like he's overpowered

when stacked deck triggered on towers... boy howdy! those were the days... :p
I've decided that Pantheon is a reasonable jungler now and that's about it. without golem buff, god, I don't even want to think about his shitty mana pool without gol, but it's just barely ok with gol, so I've been tearing people up with jungle panth. level 3 double buff panth ganks are rough.

Vlad/Soraka lane might be the most annoying(not most dangerous, but annoying) lane I've ever faced in this game to date. Thinking about it, Taric might be even worse(since it's only for the heal, infuse is just to keep Soraka's mana up in this case) because of the fear of stun thrown on top of Vlad's infinite spam potential.

So tips on on items and skill priorities for making a pro Cho' or Kayle (besides just nash/rageblade)?
The few times I've seen him has always been on the other team and just tower hugging/defending. If in a fight at its usually walk in silence/pop in air and leave afterwards.

So how have people been playing Vlad?
I've been going middle, leveling R>Q>W>E. Mejai's --> sorc boots --> rylai's --> zhonya's --> GA.

I've been going middle, leveling R>Q>W>E. Mejai's --> sorc boots --> rylai's --> zhonya's --> GA. I've done it a few different ways, couple games with the same item build as that, though my last game i went spirit visage into rylai's and zhonya's, going R>Q>E>W(except for 1 early rank of W sometime between 2 and 4 depending on threat level)
Edit: i dont strictly stay on that priority, for example i dont fully max out E until i have 2 or maybe 3 in W, it depends on the game

we lost quite handily T_T I had dan dinh on my team with heimer and he didn't understand the concept of defending so every time he'd be like HAY GUYS IM GOIN IN FOLLOW ME straight up mid and we'd get aced, happened like 3x in a row and yammy1688 on tf bds our top inhib while we do it.

Ofc he was like 19/4/8 that game. Look at his recent matches to get an idea of endgame items, he usually goes situational, sometimes void staff or GA etc.
