People that chase 1 person then act all surprised when Shen ports in and kills them are the people that think he's a great tank, and ban him. Or people ban him because they don't like his early-game presence when it comes to saving people and/or map presence, but as soon as teams gather up 5v5 boom, one of the bottom-half tanks.
Except for when feint was like a spammable version of Olaf's ult, he's never been a tank, he's been a nice off-tank, though.
None of the spotlights look great or usable at all, Xin Zhao's one for many of us looked like Phreak beating on bad players, which in the end was all there was to it. For god's sake the reason why Xin's considered ridiculous now is because of his ult, something that hardly shone through the spotlight.
But you're not even really arguing against my main point, which is that the majority of "new release" heroes all kinda suck hard for the most part. It's been a long time since Ezreal, and even longer still since Nidalee, and now finally when Xin Zhao pops out people are like zomg every new hero is OP. What? Really?
AND they bitch about how its all a riot conspiracy to steal their money. is so fucking retarded. everyone just wants to rage against "the man" cause they think its cool and hip to be disillusioned. dont buy shit and be happy people with parent's credit cards are funding your free game.

Nidalee was ridiculous because she was impossible to catch, and her heal was the most cost-effective heal in the game (which was a big fat fucking joke). Fixing her pounce in that unelegant way and finally nerfing the mana cost of her heal brought her back down to earth... recently.

I don't think Vladimir will be over powered. I've played him and his skills have a pretty good base damage but they scale fairly poorly late game. You need to poke people to death and considering all of his abilities are short range you are very vulnerable.

Like that one game where HSGG got a pentakill with Xin Zhao, so many people saw that video and went OMG SO IMBA and I thought "how the fuck did he get a full stack of items and get so far ahead that he had fucking Phantom Dancer... and why does that team have 0 disables? LOL"
Edit: Also, man, SC2 is coming out and I don't care at all, like I'll pick it up at some point cuz of pre-order but it's like yawn. A year ago I never thought this would happen -_-;

People also seem to completely ignore the stun tibbers that got dropped on the last 2-3 people for that penta. Also, as ridiculous as his ult is, the 'good' players that I see breaking him down seem to think that an adjustment is more warranted on TTS's damage scaling, or Audacious Charge's range(not the slow aoe like this patch just changed, but the fact that he can charge from Lay Waste range). His charge range is how he gets rolling in the first place, because ranged champions can't harass him without eating an e->q combo(throw R in there when he hits 6).

Screw the tibbers, how was he able to catch three squishies (props to Janna for rushing howling gale and blowing it BEFORE the charge LOL! and then not even using the ult) with 0 disables, then have Annie drop tibbers on Mundo (no disable) and some other random thing I couldn't make out visually, lol. It was just incompetence.
I can agree with the charge range, actually. For the most part I've just noticed snaring/stunning messes him up mightily, and I rarely run on a team with a lack of those stuff, so he's always seemed very underwhelming to me, with the exception of his ult. So when Riot a while ago was like "yeah his ult's too strong" I was like okay, that makes sense.

Speaking about stunning and blinds and such messing him up.. Why is Olaf considered really UP even though he's completely immune to every kind of disable? Maybe people just play him wrong, it makes no sense..

He can't catch up... lol. Literally people just turn on ghost and kite him, and he can't kill shit fast enough before his ult runs out. It's kinda sad, and it's also why when someone brought up the Olaf/Zil combo i was like OMG THAT'S IT! THAT'S HOW YOU MAKE HIM WORK!
Edit: Honestly if they were to raise his movement speed by like 10-15 he'd skyrocket in viability, but then you're looking at borderline OP again. It's a tough line he's treading

Map control TF is so so fun. Smite/flash, get wriggles lantern, and just go around farming/stealing buffs/dragon/backdoor the entire game.

your whole team is suppose to realize he's blown his ult and kite his team, then re-engage when it comes off of CD. he's annoying, but avoidable, yet I totally agree with utah that when he's in tandem with zil, it's scary as hell. I remember that being the best game I saw L0CUST play, where he had some zil on his team and he'd basically just run train on our whole team with late game olaf. it was really frustrating that there was nothing we could do.

It's not so easy to kite his whole team if you get stunned or snared by something other than the olaf and then your team is seperated and so on. But yeah maybe he needs a tiny buff or maybe people just don't play him properly, he should be good on paper

Still no fucking bug fix for fiddle where his ult get canceled when you use flash after it, thus both being on cooldown and neither effect is used.
